If you’re relying on a vacuum forming machine from the last century, now might be the perfect time to consider an upgrade. (1/2)
Also, they don't require drying before use: PC is hygroscopic, which means it absorbs moisture so needs to be put into an oven or drying chamber for several hours before being vacuum formed. If not, it will affect the forming process. Hope that helps!
Hello! Yes, HIPS and PETG are generally easier to form than Polycarbonate because they have a lower temperature range for forming (150-175C for HIPS, 120-160C for PETG, 170-205C for PC).
