Two amazing 100 milestone celebrations this morning at Sunnyvale Bay Trail parkrun - Robert T and Natalia Medved

A rare chance to run today at Sunnyvale Bay Trail parkrun, but I still like to volunteer (I'm chasing that 250 milestone), so I donned the hi-viz vest and did the First Timers Brief - I love this role as its often the first contact people have with a parkrun event.
Florida is like a second home to me - so when in Florida forget Disney, do a parkrun, thanks to all the amazing people at Clermont Waterfront parkrun you have an amazing event.
Our wonderful Sunnyvale Bay Trail volunteer Michelle, who did her 50th volunteer milestone last weekend, is featured in this weeks parkrun USA pictures 😃 blog.parkrun.com/us/2026/03/2...
Heading out to Florida for spring break - looking forward to catching up with the Clermont Waterfront and Depot Park parkruns.
Lucie’s ordering it now and Amy will bring it over at spring break 😀
Not sure but if you want a copy I can get Amy to bring you one over - she is here over spring break
Look what my daughter got me for my birthday 😀
Sunnyvale parkrun is about 5K away from Levi’s Stadium, which is hosting a wildly popular sporting event next Sunday. Helmets and shoulder pads will be optional next Saturday, but using Roman numerals for the VK is compulsary!

Hate to say it but these results are wrong - we had the inaugural Sunnyvale Bay Trail on 17th and had 183!

Mixed parkrun emotions today - so sad to loose Baylands parkrun - but so exciting to celebrate 16 months of hard work and launch the Sunnyvale Bay Trail parkrun only 5 miles down the road - good catching up with friends not seen for a couple of months.
I've grown to really like Mace Ranch parkrun
Baylands parkrunners visit Mace Ranch in Davis, CA
Not long now and we'll have parkrun back in the San Francisco Bay Area - until then its the 100 mile journey to Mace Ranch in Davis, CA
Goodbye 2025
No festive parkrun for me this year 😞. Happy Christmas from our house to yours
I know Baylands in California was cancelled which would have had about 200 but where is Brooklyn Bridge?

We’re sorry to share that due to operational issues , Sunset Dunes and Baylands Nature Preserve parkruns will need to pause until at least 17 January.
We understand how important these events are to our community, and we appreciate your patience and support.
Mace Ranch is an excellent parkrun - go and say hello to Lesley and her team, it is well worth the trip 👍

Various stats from Baylands Nature Preserve parkrun event 12.
The cold breeze was especially challenging for the volunteers who had to stand still for an hour or more in it!
With the opening of the new Sunset Dunes parkrun, we had by far our smallest turnout ever at event 12, 109 finishers. (The cold wind also likely kept a few people away.) Weirdly, we had no milestones and nobody saying they were from England - both firsts!
Up early and heading out to San Francisco for the inaugural Sunset Dunes parkrun
My son Aidan was Run Director at Baylands Nature Preserve parkrun for the first time today
parkrun is coming back to San Francisco

EXCITING NEWS!!! On November 29th, a new Bay Area parkrun is starting up in San Francisco! Introducing Sunset Dunes parkrun! www.parkrun.us/sunsetdunes/
Got to run our new event today - miss Byxbee but its a great course
Introducing the new Baylands Nature Preserve parkrun! Its main site is now live, but lots of related sites are still in process (such as a new Bluesky page). You can go into your parkrun profile as opt in to receive emails from it now. www.parkrun.us/baylandsnatu...

What a day! Our 250th event and our 6th anniversary! And a bit sadly, our last parkrun in Byxbee Park for a bit while extensive construction happens. We will soon have news about a new, very nearby parkun that should start next Saturday to keep us off the streets while we wait.
One chapter closes and another start - we close Byxbee parkrun but open a new (as yet unamed) event just round the corner - Byxbee was amazing but its time to move on.
I used to buy the new phone every year but have waited at least 3 years between phones since about the iPhone 7 - and the watch I’ve had 3 - and my current ultra is still amazing!
I do find it odd that Apple who build the best products in the world each year spend 2 hours telling me the new product they have makes the product I bought last year (claiming then it was the best) no good, and their new one is 4 or 5x better. A 12 month life span for over $1,000?
