I wish there was a face-to-face equivalent of heart reactions

every language should have a word that just means “yes I am listening to you and I don’t have anything to add at this time” without having a dismissive connotation for those times when people talk a bunch and then look at you expectantly
a solid chunk of SRE is just taking apart various libraries and applications to figure out why they break for your particular insane edge case of an environment
yeah it would be cool if you could just hook up your own stuff and not have to worry about broken charging stations and such as much (also my bad on taking it literally, i just woke up and my autism is in full force lol)
Not to mention the wire gauge is often so thick that retracting it into a spool isn't exactly practical either, you'd need some kind of linear pocket for it to retract into, along with the design concerns around trying to ensure no connections degrade over time from all the internal movement
You'd need multiple cables for different types of charging, the requirements for stuff like wire gauge, thermal concerns, etc. are different for AC vs. DC charging
if anybody ever asks you "why are we wasting money on space missions?", please remind them that many of the great technological advances of the 20th century came from the work that humans as a species did on space travel
One of the coolest things about Artemis 2 is listening to the conversations between the crew and mission control and hearing how they talk about what they're seeing and doing. The way they acknowledge the significance of what they're doing and describe their feelings about it is really touching
firefox added a giant "VPN" button to the extension toolbar and I genuinely thought it was something malicious
Checking in NASA'S live stream of the Artemis II and just noticed they have Sailor Moon's Artemis watching as well. I love dorks
Not just anyone, the capcom is wearing it!
it would be so funny if people filed counter-claims on the claude code DMCA takedowns to invalidate the copyright because of AI usage
if someone has a bobby pin or a set of picks, you could probably just rake the lock open with minimal effort
AVALI‼️
dreading the regularly scheduled insanity right after markets close tomorrow
A picture of a ZSA Moonlander keyboard
they’re keyboards :P
I love my moonlander but I keep looking at the voyager and being like “damn I wish I left my house enough to justify this”
gee I sure do love living in a hellscape where AI is allowed to imitate anyone with impunity but we're not allowed to do anything about it because if people figured out AI is bad it would crash the entire global economy because all resources are trapped in the endless cycle of the AI circlejerk
I really hope the AI companies don't end up just holding a bunch of really nice dev tooling hostage and being like "haha suckers, if you let the bubble pop we'll make your lives miserable for the next five years until all your tooling can be replaced!"
(hint: the thing you're pretending to be is human)
other people: "I just feel so directionless in my life, it's like nothing really matters anymore"
me: "have you tried giving up on pretending to be something you're not and surrounding yourself with creatures who encourage you to self-actualize?"
*no
(bsky please give me an edit button)
genuinely I have now idea what I would do without my pack, especially with how things are right now
I can understand if people are making intentional choices to do things a certain way, I would never want to judge someone for their own artistic direction and style, but a professional doing stuff like that without any reason or intention behind it is strange
I am realizing many hours after the fact that I accidentally a word and it's mortifying
go watch this video. seriously, stop what you are doing, get comfy for 40 minutes, and watch this video. every second of this is worth watching
this is by far one of the purest distillations of mental health and how to be a person that I have ever seen. I've been referencing this video like an encyclopedia for the last day or two, thank you for this
honestly I really want to just open a hackerspace or something and build a nice community creatures around it. getting paid a few bucks a month by cool people to buy cool machines and tools and make shit sounds like a good thing for my mental health
A picture of an Avali avatar in VRChat with digitigrade legs, content that would be too scandalous for certain platforms.
feeling a little spicy tonight
Hold on to anything #brainbunnies
