How do you miss the net?!?!

Man, when you compare the bravery of every day Minnesotans to the overpaid cops it’s astounding
Absolutely.
"These people are stealing your tax money, robbing you of services you paid for to enrich themselves. I will stop that."
That's a pretty simple and effective message.
Recall the Supreme Court held there was a constitutional right to stand on a public sidewalk and scream homophobic rants at a soldier's funeral as long as you're a bunch of right-wing religious freaks, but apparently it's a crime to stand on a public sidewalk and smirk while Black.
It is likely that Trump's Iran catastrophe will lead to some kind of compensation for all the countries the US has screwed (which is all of them). We would do well now to lay groundwork for seizing assets of the Palantirs and Musk fortune that enabled Trump's rise and invasion.
In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.
“A Supreme Court that does not share a common factual world with the people it governs is not merely conservative. It is untethered from democratic reality.”
My latest.
I’ve been watching the media coverage of the murders of Dr. Cerina Fairfax and Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer.
One way media can fight back against male violence:
If you kill your wife, you don’t get to be called a “husband” any more.
You’re her killer.

"Pancreatic cancer mRNA vaccine shows lasting results in an early trial: Scientists caution that more research is needed, but nearly all of the patients who responded to the personalized vaccine are still alive six years later."
Breaking: HHS’s ban on gender-affirming care is struck down. Rarely have I read a ruling this sharply worded.
“This case is one of a long list of examples of how a leader’s wanton disregard for the rule of law causes very real harm to very real people.”

Prosecute everyone who bribed Trump. Perp walk them. Take their liberty. Confiscate their wealth. Crush their reputations. Send a goddamn message.
Refunds for the people who gouged you.
Not many people know this, but the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is responsible for making sure the coal industry is never inconvenienced. Pretty sure it's part of the oath he swore.
If you are as infuriated as you read this as I am, know that Congress not only has the power to fix the abuse of the Shadow Docket but also that the legislation is already drafted. We just need to get it to the floor. www.nytimes.com/2026/04/18/u...
I can see Thomas and Alito using this to justify stealing the election.
I wonder if James Franklin is superstitious...
All right, this piece has triggered me so I have to yell a bit (though this is bluesky, so I realize I'm just preaching at the choir):
Let's all use this occasion to take a look at the many ways Tennessee Republicans have shown how much they value and respect the Traditional Nuclear Family™
Elon Musk basically accused Trump of being a pedophile and then got dinner with him again a few months later. Joe Rogan acted shocked and dismayed about ICE and Iran and now he’s standing behind Trump in the Oval Office. These guys only care about holding onto power through any means necessary
We gotta impeach and remove these guys.
Jesus fucking Christ, Tapper. Going to suck off the dementia-addled dictator rather than actually reporting on his batshit crazy administration is a fucking choice.
Go to hell, you piece of shit.
Twenty-nine people have died in ICE custody since October, the start of the federal government's fiscal year, already surpassing 2004's toll of 28, the previous record, according to government data. n.pr/4sLetjV
This just failed.
Students in the Texas Tech system (64k, give or take) are now PROHIBITED from researching or writing anything "centered on" sexual orientation or gender identity as part of an undergrad honors or graduate thesis. Not faculty, mind you. Students.
In a blatant 1st Amendment violation, students in the Texas Tech University system are completely banned from researching or writing anything related to sexual orientation or gender identity as part of their thesis.
The shitbirds need to fix their own house before coming over and trying to wreck the Dems.

The board voted at its March meeting to require transgender students to use locker rooms and bathrooms that match their sex assigned at birth. The superintendent said social workers would meet with the affected students to go over the changes.
In case it is unclear: your ethical and moral obligation is to refuse to participate in enforcing this. To validate that this is wrong. To push back and stand with trans kids. To offer safe bathrooms. It is not to make it palatable or tolerable for other adults.

Good for him but I am tired of learning about all the ways a 41-year-old candidate for U.S. Senate supposedly has a lot more growing and learning to do. Maybe do that before the Senate? And maybe try out a lower office before then?
Or maybe we just watch him blossom into another Sinema/Fetterman.
DOJ also hosted Randall Terry and his wife Terrisa Bukovinac last month to discuss the forthcoming report.
The current admin is routinely meeting w/ anti-abortion activists while criticizing the Biden admin for communicating with abortion rights groups that track anti-abortion violence.
