In Mario Kart Wii, crashing the game and activating the crash handler will eventually start playing back the contents of the Wii's RAM as sound. Since the data was never intended to be interpreted like this, it ends up sounding like experimental harsh noise music.

For ex: when an artist sends a mix to a mastering engineer, the platform's only job here is to deliver that file perfectly. It shouldn't compress without permission. It shouldn't analyze data to sell to labels about "emerging sounds." It shouldn't force the recipient to see an ad, or sign up.

Two things inherent to our app are the end-2-end principle & right of exit. If you're familiar with enshittification, these terms will be familiar. In audio sharing, it means we get out of the way. Our app plays files w/o interference, & makes it easy to delete your data, & never talk to us again ๐Ÿฅฒ
