I'm spending the morning writing about Daniel Dunglas Home, which is always fun. I was reminded of this wonderful sketch by the famed caricaturist George Cruikshank from 1868. It was drawn during a private seance. It depicts Home levitating in the air and floating out of the room.

No, an undergraduate seminar for a course on monsters in literature and culture.
I'm doing some final prep today for a wicked seminar I am leading tomorrow where we are going to do a deep Gothic dive into Konami's classic Castlevania from 1986. We are even going to be playing it on emulators. 8-bit Simon Belmont is already running to get to class, he can't wait!
