Was told today that the British made up stories about how short Napoleon was to humiliate him, but it isn’t true, though still widely believed (for example by me). I could investigate but prefer to live in a world of uncertainty about trivia.

Cheered my audience in Armenia by pointing out that the time difference here means they can post sardonic comments on the news before Western Europe wakes up and sees the same stories. And as for the US …
Hahahaha! And mine
If he wins, it’s trebles all round.
What it feels like are the fans are being treated like olives in an olive press and FIFA is collecting the oil.
A small fragment of my evening here.
They did arrive. Apparently very rare for this time of year.
Funds a Centre there, won by competitive grant, not the University.

Want to see the view from my hotel window? I’m in Yerevan in Armenia, at the very kind invitation of Maria Baghramian, Director of the EU funded Center for Ethics in Public Affairs at the American University in Armenia. I’ll be giving talks on Social Trust, and on New Technologies.
He’s not thinking of migrating over here, is he?
Hmmm. It’s much more common for authors to cite work they disagree with than work they agree with. And sometimes I find myself cited with inaccurate accounts of what I said because the author wants to make their position look more original. But if they understood me they wouldn’t cite me.

Oh no. I have a natural tendency to support the underdog. For a second I thought I’d experienced a flash of sympathy for Trump. Now I think it was just a spot of indigestion.

We can’t stop individuals wanting to develop new technologies, but we don’t have to spend government money helping to speed their development, or hand political power and influence to those who intend to use them for evil purposes. (I’m talking on this topic at a workshop in Armenia next week.)
I was once a militant Jewish atheist.
Then I mellowed into ‘I don’t understand how intelligent people can believe any of this, but some do, so live and let live.’ Jewish atheist.
But now, seeing what the Trump Regime is doing I’m an ‘outraged on behalf of Christianity’ Jewish atheist.

EU: The European Union will require sale of mobile phones with “user-replaceable and longer-lasting batteries” starting in 2027.
The regulation demands “availability of spare parts and manuals for 10 years to curb planned obsolescence”.
What this shows is how inefficient a humanoid body is. Any other shape and it would gave gone so much faster.
Ahhhh. Is Trump MadMaxxing?
I spoke with President Trump’s spirit medium this evening. I beginning to see how it all fits together.
