He was also a social media pioneer, embracing the use of Twitter in college sports reporting. And he was an early sports voice on BlueSky as well, extending the reach of his work however he could.
I was blessed to work with Wes Rucker at the Chattanooga @timesfreepress.bsky.social. He was talented, smart and pulled no punches. And he was a good guy. He will be missed for sure.
He and I worked in sports together at the Chattanooga paper. A great reporter (one of the best), and a better guy.

You’re doing good work. There a place for punditry, for sure. But also a need for just reporting the story. I subscribe to TCM for commentary but also for rigorous reporting. The story I great. Thanks!
