Thanks, Jason!
Not the most fun to read but more great work by @milehighrobert.bsky.social and another reminder that city magazines still keep this kind of journalism alive 5280.com/medical-aid-...
Thank you, @longreads.com!

"I always feel like journalism should be more of a two-way street. I feel that especially today, the way there's just so much distrust about media. The more open we can be as journalists with our readers, [the better]." @milehighrobert.bsky.social

For 5280 magazine, I wrote about psilocybin and the group of Colorado scientists unlocking its potential as a palliative treatment. I visited the state's first psilocybin “wellness clinic” and I microdosed the drug to show readers how it might help them. www.5280.com/i-tried-magi...
How did a right-wing YouTube troll from New York shut down a VFW pilot program in a Colorado prison? I decided to find out. www.5280.com/everyone-lov... (5280 magazine)
Don't tell Trump. It'll be $25 by tomorrow.
Thank you, @longreads.com!
My latest for 5280 magazine: A Colorado prison was the nation's first correctional facility to get a VFW post—which paired inmates with prison employees. The prison VFW was going great... until a popular, right-wing YouTube troll found out about it. www.5280.com/everyone-lov...
My latest story for 5280 magazine is on legal deserts in Colorado and how justice is elusive for lots of people who live in far-flung places. I hope you enjoy it. www.5280.com/what-do-you-...
Alllvinnnnnnnn!
Looking back at the past 12 months, there weren’t a lot of wins for the public’s right to know. #coleg #copolitics
When I worked at the Rocky Mountain News, a reader emailed me: "What you gonna do when the INS comes for you?"
I did a Q&A for 5280 magazine with a woman who runs a Colorado-based Santa school. This lady is awesome: www.5280.com/how-a-local-...
You know you're old when you can't remember how old you are.
Agreed. As citizens, we're expected to help create and support great schools with our tax dollars—but we can't know the disciplinary records of administrators running those schools?
These restrictions are frightening if you like the idea of an open government and an informed citizenry.
