How it feels watching Arsenal in 2026

For all the data in the world, you simply canโt measure the psychological impact of shitting your pants for 90 minutes on a football pitch. Itโs like they manifested a defeat, each and every single one of them weighed down by expectations.

Taking some advice from @robsuddaby.bsky.social I created a pretty neat viz for my Poisson match prediction matrix to predict DR Congo vs Jamaica, similar to what I did for the game against New Caledonia. DR Congo heavily favored, but hoping Jamaica can pull off a shock!
This is great! Top work ๐๐ป Iโll be watching the game later doing some testing ready for the Summer, fingers crossed for a good game!
Totally agree on the last point!
Boo that ๐ซ ๐ซ ๐
Nice work! @scott.cannonstats.com has a great visualisation for a similar output he uses for simulating match scores
Woof. Cโmon guys
There have been 1,179 long throws into the opposition box in Premier League games this season. Those have brought about just 24 goals - or one goal every 49 long throws.
Matches are also being delayed for an average of 10 minutes, 42 seconds just for throw-ins to be taken.
Nice ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป

If you believe you have the experience, technical capability and football understanding required to perform either role, please feel free to reach out to Arron Ackermann via LinkedIn ๐๐ป
โข Insight Analyst
โข Video Analyst
Both roles will contribute directly to tournament analysis work, supporting the creation of evidence-based football insights that help interpret performance at the highest level of the game.
If you're capable of working in a high-performance tournament analysis environment, contributing to insights through video analysis, event data and tactical understanding then this is for you! We are currently inviting expressions of interest for 2 roles within the Football Performance Analysis team
Are you U.S based and have the skills and experience to support football analysis at a FIFA World Cup?
Are you eligible to work in the United States and available to be based in Miami for the duration of the tournament (8 June โ 20 July)?
If the answer is yes, we want to hear from you. ๐๐ป

Yep
Spurs commitment to comedy has genuinely made me feel sorry for Kinsky. You donโt want to see that happen to anyone, horrible stuff
Yeah it was a bold strategy (Cotton)
In the MU17 WC Final recently, Austria booted the ball out for a goal kick straight from the first kick off so that they could press Portugal from the short goal kick. We saw a lot of variation across teams but a lot went long very quickly to provoke the duel, some went for throwins immediately too
