Yep, 8x8! Most objects will be 16x16, but every time I make a set I end up converting it to 8x8 eventually so I figured I should just start that way this time.

she's definitely super creepy, i have to suspend a lot of disbelief. if it werent for the other creepier robots i'm fighting this would be a harder pill to swallow

Pragmata is very fun and the best part is it can't trick me into switching projects because i will never make a 3d 3rd person shooter

Realized my scene didnt make it hyper clear. this is Version A: upright walls given a slight slant to create a slight fake 3d effect. this would be easier to read if it was outdoors, but in this scene the light fades toward the ceiling. #pixelart

Nah this is just for ordinary corners, the arches are kind of special points of interest.

the forced/warped perspective is a bit much but i'm glad i attempted it. still not quite right but I think i can take what's working for me here and extrapolate it into the tileset I need it to be. #pixelart

It's also so difficult to get running properly today, it's a game that has truly been left behind. It really would benefit from at the very least an official re-release.

I did the thing. I consider Favorite Game to be kind of a free slot for something that didn't make the cut elsewhere, irl I really can't pick. Favorite Art Style is similar. Best Story is the most recent game that made me really sit up when the story unfolded, maybe not strictly "best"

this, ultimately, is the north star i need to focus on. this is the ideal aesthetic i'm trying to capture, and if i have to break my color palette so be it.
