One final burn 🔥
Our European Service Module reaction control system engines fired for 8 seconds for the last trajectory correction burn of #Artemis II, crucially adjusting speed and orientation before reentry in just a few hours 🚀

What kind of absolute cunt doesn’t think it would be nice for *all* kids to be able to visit a zoo or museum, not just those who are fortunate enough to live with families who can afford it

The Government is considering scrapping the NHS-Palantir deal.

Do you want Palantir out of the NHS?

RT if you do.

A full disc image of Earth, as seen from the Orion Crew Module. The planet is a pale blue, swirling with white clouds and glowing slightly lighter blue in place from reflected light. At lower left, a large brown landmass is Africa, with Spain and Portugal with twinkling lights where the planet curves. At top right, auroras glow in a thin green glow, just barely separated from the planet's surface. Earth is set against the black of space (pic: NASA/R.Wiseman)

More context on this #Artemis II image:

* This is the night side, lit by moonlight. You can see city lights in Spain & Portugal, & a sliver of day at lower right

* The Sun is entirely behind Earth, which makes it a kind of solar eclipse, but w/ Earth doing the eclipsing instead of the Moon:

I still can't believe after all this time, I'm finally getting to watch a mission in real time with humans on their way TO THE MOON.

Trans-lunar injection burn in progress!

I've been following the mission schedule at: www.nasa.gov/wp-content/u...

No evidence of 'family voting' in Gorton and Denton by-election An investigation into alleged

As the police find no evidence whatsoever of illegal family voting or voter coercion in the Gorton and Denton by-election, the BBC should ask themselves why, on the morning of the result, they gave so much airtime to these absurd and obviously racist claims from Nigel Farage

From NASA. Just makes me miss Cassini, but this is beauteous.

Webb teamed up with Hubble, observing the ringed planet in complementary wavelengths of light to give us a richer, more layered understanding of its atmosphere. go.nasa.gov/4lMn2c4

NASA Administrator Isaacman just said that they will launch a fission-powered spacecraft in 2028 called "SR1 Freedom" and that it will go to Mars (!) and drop a payload of Ingenuity-class helicopters to the surface. So that's the third suprise launch for the 2028 window.
