From 7 on @lbc.co.uk: does Trump look a fool after boasting the Strait of Hormuz was reopened only for Iran to close it again? We'll discuss calls for pensioners to help rebuild Britain's military. And after a record number of fatal dog attacks how can we rein in dangerous mutts? 0345 6060973 x
Well said Dennis Read for sticking up for us pensioners 👏
Morning Matthew
- Trump has always been a fool.
- Here we go again with us pensioners - always a soft touch for taking away our pension monies we’ve paid into since we were 15yrs old 😡
Yes, you were surely missed Matthew 👍
“I was brainwashed by Nigel Farage.”
We asked people in East Wiltshire, the constituency of Danny Kruger, if Brexit was a mistake. Here's what they said. ⬇️
Write to your local paper to show it is time to talk about EU membership: www.bestforbritain.org/write_to_paper_eu_member...
I agree 👍
The right-wing backlash against Starmer for his removal over Mandelson hasn’t been thought through. Whoever replaces him will eliminate those EU red lines to align with the single market. This will prompt Labour, the Liberal Democrats, and the Greens to push the button for rejoining.
On @lbc.co.uk from 7: could the Mandelson scandal do for Starmer before the May elections? Are we sleepwalking into empty supermarket shelves and petrol queues despite Iran ceasefire? And how uninsured drivers cause countless tragedies on our roads. 0345 6060973 the number x
Good news - for us listeners anyway! - is that @matthew-wright.bsky.social is back on air 7-10 @lbc.co.uk 📻🎉
Good morning Matthew and welcome back.
Starmer is pretty much toast, but would make a good foreign secretary.
Shortages: yes this generation sleep walking into shortages. Older people are I think more prepared
Have an excellent day 😀
My "American Week" for @tomswarbrick.bsky.social's Friday programme on the UK's @lbc.co.uk.
This week: Trump closes in on a peace deal with Iran, but only after his own erratic behaviour raises huge questions about his mental stability.

For me back in the day, once I got the sciatic pain from my butt and leg, back into my back I knew I was on the mend Matthew.
To do that I needed a plan. I got a plan attending a pain mgt program (INPUT St Thomas’ London) in July ‘96.

A lot of older people I know do that.

Celebrating small wins is a powerful part of Supported Self Management—especially when living with a long-term health condition.
It helps shift focus from “what I can’t do” to “what I am doing,” which builds confidence, motivation, and resilience over time.

It is common for someone living with persistent pain or long term health conditions to also have low mood and depression.
Below is short video for people who are living with or perhaps working with a person with depression.
