In the US, we separate church and state, but as a Christian, I feel to need to speak up and denounce Trump and Hegseth’s exploitation of my religion for political gain.

The President is openly threatening genocide. A crime against humanity. He must be removed from office.

The 25th Amendment must be invoked. If not, Congress has to do our damn job. Speaker Johnson, call us into session. War powers & impeachment. Remove this man from office.

My country is at war and instead of looking to my government for reliable information--because nothing my government is saying is reliable--I'm tracking betting market monitors who are highlighting unusually large bids likely being tipped, if not placed, by government officials.

We've observed the slow motion decay of the most basic democratic norms for decades despite attempts to address them. The lines of this incivility war are beyond rational thought. That's all one needs to know. Christian Nationalism: a flagrant abuse of religion flying in the face of the First Amendment. We have witnessed rigid Fundamentalism morph during my 70yrs into something Reagan fused with Republicanism granting it power to impose itself on others politically. Travesty!

I was hoping for Rep. Crockett in this Senate race as she distinguished herself with intelligence, acumen, humor and being direct in her commentary that clearly dissected the issues and attitudes. I was hoping for her elevation to Senate after outstanding congressional representation.

Cruelty and violence is the Republican Way. Remember Trump's commentary giving license to police to "rough up" those opposing them during one of his rallies? Violence: A regular purposeful right wing talking/acting point!

I don't know why a Senator would insert himself in something like that, unless he literally wanted to push his way around. Now he'll probably be bragging to his friends that he broke the hand of a US Marine and that makes him really tough.

Imagine if Democrats had done this to a veteran....24/7 news and outrage on right-wing channels.

This is absolutely on point. The D's have been working the onslaught of injustice perpetrated by the R's tirelessly. D's are using the system loudly, lawfully & honorably to challenge and hold accountable. But the constant disingenuous "not enough" disinformation follows relentlessly.

All I can think about is Jeff Bezos saying that he slashed jobs at the Washington Post — including those of foreign correspondents in the Middle East — based on "the data," and a few weeks later a whole war breaks out in the Middle East that these laid off folks would have covered as true experts.
