I agree. But that one hook the synth horns play throughout can be a bit of an earworm.
I love Thunderbird, and it would be my go-to on every platform if it would just let you see the most recent message at the top in threaded view. I know why not everyone likes it that way, but please give us the option.
Also, loved Eudora in my Mac OS 9 days. And YAM in my Amiga days.
Did you get to meet the lady on the cover?
Maybe if somehow one of your eyes was upside down.
A real Christian would’ve quoted from Django’s Letter to the Ephesians.
@golgo13.bsky.social This seems to suffer from that thing that plagued Amiga devs where they would digitize a sound effect that's cute the first time you hear it, then play it throughout the game so much you wanna gouge your ears out. Still, could be fun. I can't emulate the Jag youtu.be/cZdkj5rBVXA
Here’s the ONLY thing about it that bothers me. When he’s giving his speech, his son says, “Mom, is Pop governor yet?” And she says, “Not yet, Jr.” Now I know they did this to deliver exposition, but… OF COURSE HE’S NOT GOVERNOR YET! YOU’RE AT HIS CAMPAIGN RALLY! A 2-yr-old would understand that. 🤦🏻♂️
At least Jizz’s parents had the excuse that the language of his name is something other than that which it’s a bad word in.
“There is s man…”
If you wanted to throw names back and forth, I’m afraid I could play this game for several rounds. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rusty_K...
I'm with you all the way on Kane.
Last night I saw these two live. Didn't know they were in town or even touring, and a friend called to say they had an extra ticket. Loads of fun and laughter, and the time flew right by!
International treasures, both.
But the remaster plays like BUTTER. 60 fps butter.
The Apple II original played much better, as did the Atari 8-bit, and they're both included in the Making Of along with the C64 port. But the C64 one will always have a place in my heart. It was one of the first 2 disk-based games I bought, and the slowness made it beatable without twitch reflexes.
The Karateka remaster they included in the Digital Eclipse Making of Karateka package. A somewhat questionable Karateka game came out a few years back, and I set my expectations low for the Making Of's remaster. Turns out it's really faithful, everything you want it to be and nothing you don't!
A great one! As is Excitebike 64.
82 - Vic-20 (I THINK)
86 - C64
88 - (most crucial of all) DISK DRIVE
Later in 88 - 64C
91 - Amiga 1000
93 - Amiga 1200
95 - Amiga 4000
99 - iMac DV SE, all Macs since.
In 2025, my bro built me a gaming PC.
Consoles
RCA Studio II
NES
Genesis
Starting with N64, all Nintendo consoles through Switch.
Ha!! I actually did have a radio show in AK, and there was a video game episode, but sadly no Ad Lib. www.mixcloud.com/LateNightDee...
I never owned anything but Commodore computers through most of 1999. A Vic-20, two C64s, and three Amigas. Until even after the UK had moved on. Then I bought an iMac DV SE because it made video editing economically viable for such lowly paupers as myself.
@logrus.uk
There are a few that mix them with C64 and Amiga songs, but when I want one I don’t necessarily want the others.
Ugh. This is where an Uber driver could make some extra money. “Come to my house and hit these smoke detectors with a hammer, but quietly so I don’t wake up.”
What I want in life is a streaming radio station, not a YT video or Spotify playlist, but a streaming radio station that plays Adlib or Soundblaster style DOS music.
Don’t nobody can seemta hook me up.
It’s new to you
Ha! I thought I knew all their material, but I'd never seen this one.
@logrus.uk For tomorrow, when you're more awake. A number of nice tweaks for the anniversary. youtu.be/RnTlJeai7wk
@trusteft.bsky.social I sent you a comment on your Plutos video, but because I linked a YT review for the 7800 version, I think my comment may have been flagged as spam. The comment basically said that there was a 7800 prototype, and then I linked this: youtu.be/Tdjqzez9UlM
