Mostly, I guess I retreated to gated spaces like message boards and discords where I already know people and they have decided to tolerate me long ago.

I stopped using Twitter when they killed the API and settled into masto for public microblogging. But even there I don’t have anything to say, really.

(This is the least important of my issues, but it’s immediately relevant: why are threads still necessary? SMS has never been part of the plan here)

I don’t think I have anything happening people want to hear about, but I’m enjoying seeing and hearing from people (and cats) I know while this place surges.
Some aspects of twitter I don’t enjoy seem to have come over (by design) so I already feel kinda reluctant in this place.
