When I saw LAWRENCE OF ARABIA in the cinema a year or two ago, they spent 45 minutes repeatedly rebooting the projector trying to resolve the issue of the screen being blank...during the overture.

I was interested, but I saw reviews saying the sound design was one of its best qualities so I figured I should wait to watch it at home.
My first thought was "but this *is* that bald headed podcast guy's brand."
Every superhero is a metaphor that fights other metaphors of the same clade
The Flash is a physics, who fights other physics (mirrors, aerodynamics, cold). Superman is a god, who fights other gods. Thatβs so good, but Batman is a fear who fights other fears. Thatβs always the easiest match to sell.
So irritated I didn't discover it until the Twilight Time Blu-ray was out of print.
Over a distance of 21 kilometers, stamina is going to play a significant role. It's not just a question of mechanics.

People can make their own decisions.
Then put yours down.
No, I just know how bad phones are at recording and reproducing bass.
Through a phone mic and phone speakers? There's no low end to speak of at that point. And that's without addressing whatever the speakers are at your end.
What on earth could that possibly prove?
You cannot hear anything at that high a frequency.
"Highs are higher and bass is deeper" is an objective and measurable claim.
Prefer whichever you like, but what you said was objectively false.
@kenwhite.bsky.social Did you have "a defamation lawsuit you bring as the plaintiff" on your list of places not to discuss your crimes?
Objectively false.
It was never showy, but the stories were around. Mentoring athletes, coaching teams, attending games, contributing money, advocating privately.
Watching the games during his trial, where he's treated as heroic for playing well while going through everything, is...less fun.
Haven't seen the disc, but I caught the film on the Criterion Channel a while back and loved it.
Thought about buying this in the sale, but hard to justify when I just bought the Universal Blu and haven't even watched it yet. But I also don't want to watch the Universal knowing that the Criterion exists...
I don't follow any of the football codes, so you're safe there.
As a Lakers/Wildcats guy, I'm really beginning to dislike you.
By the time you started following the league, Loggins was 33. That's an age by which many players are retired, and even those who aren't retired by that age are seriously stepping back. He had 3 titles, 3 MVPs, a GF MVP, and two DPotYs before 1991. 2/2
Unfortunately the historical information and footage isn't out there for the NBL the way it is for the NBA, but what you're doing with Loggins is kind of like becoming an NBA fan in 1988 and deciding Abdul-Jabbar wasn't actually that good. 1/2
Let me guess, you started following the league in the early to mid 90s?
Rob Rose has never been in that conversation, and the clear leader has always been Leroy Loggins.
I've read the whole thread and still have no idea who it's about!
