When it comes down to it, a warehouse is kind of a Pallet Town...

A chibi-style depiction of Eyriwyda Krysthyltwyn, a Roegadyn woman and my main Final Fantasy XIV Warrior of Light, clearly recently woken up and frazzled, in a nightgown and Carbuncle slippers, and holding a cup of coffee almost the size of her own head, with "Warrior of Coffee" written on it.

It’s just that *mumble*day morning sort of feeling.

(How have I never shared this on Bsky before?)

The fact that the monster-catching job was introduced with an image of the most Zeraora-looking Miqo'te I have ever seen amuses me way more than it should. xD

Looking forward to taming them all (and hoping for at least some plant and bug monsters to be included in the bestiary!)

Happy hatchday, Dem! ^^

Possibly even higher-dimensional hypothetical forms of dancing like the dreaded Tesseract Tango.

The existence of line dancing and square dancing implies the existence of cube dancing.

Honestly, all of them. This entire raid series has been utterly brilliant, start to finish. ^^

As featured heavily on the cover of "Straight Outta Tronco", parental advisory for explicit lyrics included.

(The lyrics in question, naturally, are "Shit! Remember it!")

Now there's a glowing endorsement if I ever saw one! ^^

I mean, considering the sheer skill grind – y'know, the whole "swift as a coursing river, all the force of a great typhoon, all the strength of a raging fire, mysterious as the dark side of the moon" malarkey – one can be forgiven for being too distracted by sidequests to do that training montage!

A diagram of Gnaterminus' head, thorax and legs, and how they are meant to evoke the parts of an insect's head, each segment marked with a different colour.

Swarmidge is based on the clouds of non-biting midges that emerge in massive clouds from the Icelandic lake Mývatn. Gnaterminus is inspired by FFXIV's Beasts of the Final Days and its body plan is meant to loosely evoke the structure of an insect's head, as well as a skull and a spine.

Despite their massive numbers, very few survive to evolve – fortunately for the rest of the Norrvaloan ecosystem, as Gnaterminus, their evolved form, are powerful and incredibly voracious apex predators, so dramatically different that the two species were first believed unrelated.

Swarmidge hatch wingless in the bottom of lakes, eventually developing wings and rising to the surface en masse around summertime. As they are practically defenseless and are prey for many species both aquatic and flying, they rely on sheer numbers to improve their chances of surviving.

Swarmidge and Gnaterminus, fanmade Pokémon from the equally fanmade Norrvalo region. Swarmidge is a midge-like Pokémon with feather-like antennae and six legs, the first two of which are held above its head. it is primarily black in colour with white stripes on its legs and its abdomen. Gnaterminus, is a large monstrous insect, primarily dark grey and red, resembling a cross between a mosquito and your worst nightmare. Its body is stylized to evoke a skull, with its middle pair of limbs being raptorial limbs with spikes that interlock with spikes on the underside of its thorax, forming gnashing teeth, its abdomen resembling a spinal column with multiple 'vertebrae' terminating in a 'tail' of reddish tendrils, and eye-spots on its wings, halteres and strange structures projecting from the top of its thorax. the back of its thorax and the lower segments of its legs are covered in thick setae.

Last for now - Swarmidge (Bug) and Gnaterminus (Bug/Dark), Norrvalo's "Magikarp analogue" that goes from a non-biting midge to a VERY BITING MIDGE.

Arbithunder is, of course, inspired by FFXIV's take on Ramuh - but also incorporates elements of Scandinavian (and adjacent) thunder gods, primarily the Finnish Ukko and his association with Rowan trees (hence the red berries).

Arbithunder's signature move, Bolt Hammer, is a physical electric move similar to Expanding Force, though empowered by Electric Terrain rather than psychic terrain.

Levinome is inspired by (naturally) gnomes, vegetation native to the regions that inspired Norrvalo, and the Sylphs of FFXIV.

An ancient Arbithunder once mediated a conflict between the humans who settled near Glasmöntull Forest and its resident Pokémon, making it possible for them to share the forest's bounty sustainably and live side by side. Its long-dead body still stands in the forest, with a small shrine honoring it.

Arbithunders often mediate conflicts that may escalate to disastrous ends, and though slow to anger - woe betide any who provoke their tranquil fury, and the justice they impart on those they deem deserving is swift and harsh.

Arbithunder, the Striking Tree Pokémon, draws down lightning strikes using their hammers for nutrition and for use in battle. Typically they retain their pre-evos' peaceful, benevolent nature, but their mischievous streak is supplanted by wisdom, experience and close communion with their forests.

Additional concept art for Levinome, a Grass/Electric fanmade Pokémon native to the Norrvalo region.

The image includes a more-or-less front view, with text describing "Hat and sleeves based on harebell flowers, hair based on sprigs of sheep's sorrel" and "Bushy, thick beard of mosses and lichens", a front view not including the beard and some of the petals, with the description "A Levinome's body under its petals and its beard, demonstrating the root-like legs and the berry-like energy storage organ in its chest. This organ can be shed and rapidly regrown, and Levinome may do so to share excess energy with others.". Another image is a close-up on Levinome's face, with its typically-closed eyes actually open (they have glowing yellow-set-within-a-bluish-ring irises set in black sclera, giving them an unsettling appearance) and the label "Eyes typically closed, usually navigates by sensing electric fields. Eyes look like this when open."

Finally, there is a side-view of a Levinome charging an Electro Ball move held in its hands like a wizard, with the caption "Pondering the Electrorb...", because I'm silly.

Some bonus Levinome concept art!

They rely on their sense for electric fields more than on their eyesight - and while they are largely peaceful creatures, they have a propensity for good-natured mischief and playing pranks on humans, particularly those they genuinely like.

Levinome draw their sustenance from photosynthesis, the ground - and electricity which they draw from their surroundings. They store excess energy in a berry-like organ, which they can shed and regrow rapidly to share their energy with allies or to emit a bright flash, distracting their enemies.

Levinome and Arbithunder, fanmade Pokémon from the equally-fanmade Norrvalo region. Levinome is a small dwarflike creature with bark-like skin, a thick bushy beard of moss and lichen, a long mane of red-flowering stalks resembling sheep's sorrel, and 'sleeves' and a 'hat' resembling purple harebell flowers, with their anthers serving as 'fingers'. Levinome is a treant-like creature evoking the form of a tree split by lightning which has partially recovered and regrown. It also has a long beard of moss and lichen, four root-like legs and two branch like arms - one featuring lightnign damage and stunted growth while the other twines around a large wooden staff resembling a hammer. it has shelf mushrooms and moss growing on its body, and wooden 'horns - one stunted and bearing red leaves like the stunted arm, and one grown into a tree bearing red berries.

Levinome and Arbithunder, Grass/Electric types native to the Norrvalo region. It has Lightning Rod or Volt Absorb for abiltiies, with Electric Surge as a hidden ability. Further details in thread, again.
