In this time they have phoned me twice to ask if I still needed to be on the list or if they could remove me. Genuinely not sure what they can do for me at this stage but I'm staying on the list mainly because need to find out if they are real lol
'DIY or DIE' is not just a slogan, but a reflection of how lifesaving DIY can be. It is not unfair to say the community knows more about how to look after itself than most healthcare professionals, and we do an amazing job of taking care of ourselves and each other
I had a bi annual check up with the GIC last week. 3 years after my initial appointment. If I wasn't doing diy I dread to imagine the condition they'd leave me in
DIY HRT save lives, cos the NHS won't save us
Current waiting times as of March 2026 People waiting for first appointment 5,652 Referrals received last month 62 People currently in treatment 578 Most recent initial assessments Referred in August 2017 Discharges last month 29
Just thought I would check on the waiting times for my local GIC and as I joined the waiting list in Sept 2017 I'm not too far off an initial appt now. So that's currently just over eight and a half years and counting to get any help and support via the NHS.
This will be the reason why universities will end up feeling they have no choice but to provide a platform for extremists. It's a charter for protecting hate by punishing those who exercise their freedom to curate the voices that get heard on campus.

Quasit the russian blue x bengal kitten
day two of Quasit and she's finally taken to sleeping in the cat tree rather than under the sofa!
Thanks Stonewall, but I'm probably not going to try and find common ground with people who don't think I have the right to exist

There should be a discord server that's exclusively for trans academics.
I imagine it would be quite badly organised and incredibly spicy, though that does seem to be most of the servers I’m on so maybe it's just me and my attraction to spicy chaos
The biggest change in HE in my lifetime has been the move towards making education a student funded business instead of a service
I strongly believe we all benefit from accessible education, yet our system favours high headcounts on low cost courses. Wonder how long it'll be before a uni goes bust?
Tsuki, a grey long haired floofy pooperdoodle and occasional cat is sat in long grass and staring off into the distance. Is she thinking about Tuna? Probably.
Here's a lovely picture I took of Tsuki if anyone needs a little timeline cleanser
It's been a while since I was last reminded about the (alleged) Doncaster West NHS guide to local language

Really interesting conversation today about ally training. While I think its good to know about identity and respectful communication, I think it should always include what happens when someone tells you they are thinking about coming out, and what support can we give someone has experienced abuse
Local elections coming up and it turns out our Reform candidate is exactly the sort of person I expect them to field.

Tsuki, a long haired grey floof of a cat is sitting on Lisa's lap looking away form the monitor which has pictures of cats on it
Tsuki is slowly coming to terms in her own way with the fact other cats exist
Looking forward to the inevitable increase in catposting™ content
Genuinely think making dark synth industrial music is pretty much mandatory seeing as I don't paint warhammer miniatures
Loving the canvassing at the moment. What's my main concern ahead of local elections? Existing free from persecution by the state, thanks for asking.
If you support trans rights but align yourself to a party that wants to harm me then I think you should reflect on your values
So all the high street bookies are open, but all the big supermarkets are shut.
Anyway this is the story of how I ended up in a ramen restaurant for lunch.
They've clearly met me

As these training posts would have ultimately benefited patients, it's hard to understand the logic in withdrawing them
