Over the last five years, I have been proud to curate and lead a fantastic group of Ph.D. students from six different countries, including US. I believed that USA was the only country where this was possible. It is a shame that we are losing that special status with each day.

Test New App to Motivate Physical Activity!
@Stanford we are testing a unique app to help motivate you to be physically active. 18 or older, fluent in English & own an iPhone? Take our eligibility survey: bit.ly/physical-act.... Participants must share iPhone health data as part of this 4-week study
One of the most important skills I teach my students&postdocs is how to communicate their research. Last week at NSF, I gave a keynote to (mostly) junior faculty on how to pitch their work. The talk resonated with many folks, so I'm sharing it publicly: www.mit.edu/~fadel/paper...

Took an acting class during my Ph.D. Learnt about using the stage, understanding audience reactions, etc. Super useful skill for talks and lectures!
Excited that this paper won the "Best Community Contribution award" at ACMMobiCom. Check out the paper at: deepakv.web.illinois.edu/assets/paper... and our satellite-IoT simulator at: github.com/microsoft/Co...

Do you feel stressed?
Is it one thing or a combination?
Turns out bacteria can’t handle stress either!
Excited to share my first first author paper out now in @currentbiology.bsky.social!

Jay Shenoy presented "CosMAC: Constellation-Aware Medium Access and Scheduling for IoT Satellites" at
ACM MobiCom on Tuesday, focusing on direct IoT to satellite connectivity (w/ Om, Ranveer, Tusher, and Suraj). We actually launched a satellite for this one.
My group is presenting two papers on LEO satellite networking this week. Seoyul Oh presented "A Call for Decentralized Satellite Networks" at
#HotNets on Monday, proposing collaborative multi-party constellations that improve efficiency and quality of service.
