Oh man, Sid Krofft died. I Loved H.R. Pufnstuf. Even had the Pufnstuf lunchbox.
A sign with, at the top, a yellow background that features a circle with the words The Wieners Circle and an image of a hotdog in a bun with mustard, relish, onion, pickle and what looks like beets! The bottom half of the sign is white with the words South Side Pope Roped the Dope!
My favorite hotdog stand in Chicago has nailed it yet again!
@cbannister.bsky.social you should totally enter this….
My young hairstylist student is dressed to kill! Looks like she’s ready for a night on the town; can’t imagine being in my feet all day in the shoes she is wearing or not getting hair dye on the shimmery dress! Oh to be young and crazy.
But what about Israel? There is nothing in any of these statements that indicates Israel will stop its attacks. How does that play into this?
I’m glad the idiot in the WH agreed to refrain from annihilating the Iranian people tonight, though I am not convinced that there really is a plan and legitimate negotiations with Iran.
Yes part of not wanting a new car is not wanting all the ‘enhanced’ features. Simple is fine with me!
That fabulous!
My VW mechanic says his last 4 VW cars have made it to 300k miles. My 9 yr Passat at that rate will last me another 25 years!
Looks like a baby garter snake. IMO any snake not in my house is a good snake.
I love all the women in the control center too…counted 15 of them!
Wish this piece of textile art was on view! I’ve never heard of stumpwork before but love that its 3D textile.

An overgrown and boarded up entrance to a stone covered building with the circular sta logo of The Stone Center above the door, which has a stone ‘cover’ protruding.
8 colorful double stacked displays of stone, each section about 3 feet tall by 6 ft long. Pink stone, gray slab stones, slate, and more
More colorful stones displayed in the same manner along the sidewalk: pastel colored, green, brown, chunky, smooth , some lava.
Individual displays of stone each about 4 foot tall by 4 foot wide along a wall.
Though the property is long abandoned, the stone displays still exist!
…for windows. He even brought lava stone in for constructing houses! His company was called The Stone Center and he entered our lives when his son married my aunt. The Stone Center location closed more than 1/4 century ago but today I walked by its location and was surprised by what I saw! 2/
In 1896 two Irishmen in St. Louis started a masonry business. The nephew of one ultimately took over and became the leading rock prospector in the US, supplying stone around the country for banks, stores, churches and more. He invented the use of petrified wood for walls, and translucent onyx 1/
Apparently he’s made 6 bad calls based on the new challenge system just in the last 3 days!
Well this is a disaster in the making.
Bunch of octogenarian Americans sitting around me in European business class bitching loudly about it not being worth it. (Might be true but the don’t need to be so loud and rude!)
It was a once in a lifetime experience.
We prayed for them today, they were part of the Pope’s sermon.
I have been so fortunate this whole trip. Perfect weather. (Rome had torrential rain and hail this week before I got here)
After. Two hours of Palm Sunday pomp then the pope mobile tour.
And then he rode in the Pope Mobile:
A blue ticket with the Italian words of the date and the mass celebrated by Pope Leo 14., on the left. On the right a white booklet with a colorful image of Jesus arriving on a horse.
My entrance ticket and the program for the service.
The rise to the entrances of St Peter’s basilica in the Vatican, with two decorative herbal green palms arching the walkway, the walls of the Vatican in the background.
An hour before the Palm Sunday mass with da Pope. Notice the green palms on the rise to St Peter’s. Not a bad view!
Very sorry for your loss Montis.
Wispy clouds and a bit of mist in the distance top the sandy curve of the beach with bluegreen water gently rolling in from the east.

A grey set of castle towers on the left is eclipsed by the bright yellow structures on the right all against a deep blue sky
A green and grey hillside leads up to the yellow and red castle set against a perfect blue sky
A Swiss style chalet in yellow stick meant to resemble wood planks has fines growing on arches on its facade and an upper balcony made of cork
An intricate light colored wooden staircase leads up from the left with a stenciled rose colored wall in the background
Had fun near Cascais today, hiking to the Pena Palace and the Condessa’s cork cottage.
Feel better soon!
