Ooooh! I enjoyed Lone Wolf. Although admittedly not as much as Grail Quest and FF.

It is hard - for everybody.
However, now you can start to rebuild your life and move on.
Expect that to happen for a while longer (when you least expect it!)
Once the process is completed, you will be able to put the whole thing behind you and start making real progress. Hang in there!
Wow George - You must get your body weight in treats!
More Power!
Much better than under heavy load!
Ouch! Hope you didn't hurt yourself when it happened. I had a lucky escape once when a crank broke on me.
That's actually quite interesting - Having done a bit of Googling, it would appear that the LX-350 also uses the same ribbon, and that is still made!
IIRC the RX-80 shared a ribbon with the FX-80 which was pretty much the "standard". There must still be quite a few left in the wild. Plus, the much later FX-870 also shared a ribbon with the FX-80. They must have used the same ribbon in quite a lot of printers.
That's excellent news - It's still early days!
Think about this carefully - If that were to happen, would you take her back? Knowing all that you know?
The day will come where you can answer that question with "No". Given how far you have come, you are certainly on the road, and maybe you are already there?
As I think I have said to you before, it's like a roller coaster. Sometimes up, Sometimes down. However, as time goes on it slows down.
Agreed! I had a "real" tape recorder and my Mums old GEC reel to reel. I later acquired a Grundig four track reel to reel from the Scout jumble sale. (Plus a KB Warwick - but the less said about that the better!
Watch out for Pipes!
My goodness did that programme cause a stir 👻
Quite honestly, it's a wonder it stayed afloat as long as it did!
I remember reading stories about pouring concrete in the hold to stop leaks.
46 years - It can't be that long, surely?!?
Happy St. Gertrude's day too, George!
Technician Ted was savagely difficult. Plus, you didn't know which order to do the tasks in - which made it even more difficult.
With us, that usually meant that the float had run out of juice.
Although admittedly it rarely happened. If he was going to run out, it was usually at the end of his round when he tried to climb the hill out of the village.
Our Milkman was really pleased when he eventually got a Transit!
Sounds like a fun project!
Me too! I really enjoyed text adventures (still do) so this book was great.
Maybe you could get CircleMUD running on the SAM? (Tall order, I know!)
Very true! 🤣
Pennies can't buy a bigger snack! 🤭
It was a great game - but also had the dubious honour of being the only game I had to take back to WHSmith twice before I got a working copy!
Thinking of you today.
James - My apologies if I am speaking out of turn - but if you really feel that bad then consider speaking to somebody.

Maybe just go for a walk, sit in the park or café and watch the world go by? It gets you out of the house, and reminds you that life goes on.
You may not think it now, but you will come out of this stronger.
It sounds to me like you need to meet up with one of those mates for a chat. Maybe they can help you see through the fog?
That's probably due to the finality of signing the papers. It's a big step.
