Each situation has the cat completely the same, holding up a drawing with a smiling expression while giving a different form of compliment, while Lobo responds differently to each one. 1st scene- Cat: "Hey, I love this art and find it super hot. Here's the various visual aspects of it I enjoy! (ie composition, anatomy, colors, themes, etc) Lobo, with its paws held together and a flattered, happy expression: "Aww, thank you!! Super appreciate hearing it!!" 2nd scene- Cat: "This particular art helped me articulate what I desire from kink play so I got to experiment with myself/my partners in a way that helped me feel more seen!" Lobo, smiling and leaning forward with interest: "That's so awesome!!! I'm so happy I could help facilitate a safe environment for you to discover more about yourself and your kinks!" 3rd scene- Cat: "This art makes me want to have sex with my idealized version of you and I'm going to tell you about my fantasies in excruciating detail completely disregarding your personal boundaries." Lobo, averting its eyes with its paws up, leaning away: "Please do not do that"

I think you could effectively turn this deck into some kind of Hardware Check on your opponent where the wincon is pushing a laptop or aging desktop into a hardlock

On a similar note to the last post, I'm actively bracing myself for how bad this is going to get once the 2027 rotation lands because it's going to leave us with a Standard that STARTS at Aetherdrift and then 90% of the rest is really bad Universes Beyond stuff

It's exhausting to see a franchise that actually has really well-done worldbuilding and a strong identity of its own completely discard that in favor of cheap heat; it doesn't help that a lot of the Universes Beyond sets have been resolutely terrible mechanically, save for, like, Final Fantasy

Strixhaven II better be REAL good or it's gonna be impossible for me to sustain even an iota of enthusiasm for this fucking franchise by the time we get to Star Trek, which is absolutely just going to be a sequel to Edge of Eternity, the most shrugworthy set I think I've seen in ages

that's at least still under a broad Nintendo banner but it's still sort of an eye-roller because like, what does Fox McCloud bring to the Mario universe besides something for superfans to point and clap at like trained seals when he comes on screen and says something from one of the games

yeah, MTG's got a really rich setting unto itself but the last three years or so have been increasingly weighted toward media tie-ins to the point that there's only one set that ISN'T a tie-in left for the entire year

I spent entirely too long on something that was imagined as a low effort thing, lol. A friend of mine draws a lot of short characters and it got me thinking about the different archetypes of shorties. If you've ever wondered the difference between goblin and gremlin, here you go.
