Palestinian leader Marwan Barghouti should be free.

Fresh reports of abuse against him in prison make it even more urgent for leaders to pressure the Government of Israel to ensure he is treated with dignity and swiftly released.

The ceasefire between the US and Iran is only the first step.

What follows must be serious diplomacy: de-escalation across all fronts, a renewed nuclear agreement, and a broader regional settlement.
