Fine, then if you’re not mad you’re just playing victim and rage baiting for engagement farming. There is no reason for you to be dragging it out if not. Though likely those who will support you in this conversation will be people who against the other political views you normally post about.

That wasn’t even the context of the conversation stop trying to spin this to make yourself look like a victim for engagement farming. The context was you didn’t know what marvelfication in regards to the film industry, I explained and you got mad and are pretending it’s an attack on you.
I’m screenshotting all this so your listeners know who you really are
All you ever have to say is wow or lol? You have had nothing of value to add to the conversation, so why did you screenshot and try to stir the pot again? Just take the L with grace and dignity.
Secondly you’re being disingenuous. It’s not an opinion it’s a fact that if you engage in something more and in more depth than someone who does so casually or recently you would know more. That is irrefutable.
You gave away your hand in our early conversation when you didn’t know basic terms used in cinema circles, didn’t know the context of the conversation about the MCU and its effect on cinema, and refuse to acknowledge glaring technical deficiencies in the MCU films. I don’t need to assume anything.
It’s not at all. It’s ok to not be an expert on every topic. Not everyone can be good at everything. Like I’ve played most of the final fantasy games but I would defer to your expertise on the topic and admit you know more. Why can’t you do the same on this?
I don’t understand why you’re upset that you’re not a film expert. Like you’d rather die on the hill that MCU movies are cinematic masterpieces than just listen to what people who engage in cinema in a deeper way are explaining and learn. Again try to imagine someone saying this about you and games
It’s not elitist. That’s like saying someone who has played every final fantasy game is elitist for saying they have a better understanding of the games than someone who just played FF16. I don’t understand why there is such a disconnect with you on this topic.[1/2]
Again, you can enjoy them, as I sometimes do. A movie can be fun to watch but bad in regards to cinema as an artform. Objectively they generally follow a formula that is deemed successful by executives. again there are technical elements like the CGI and lighting as I mentioned that are poorly done.
It’s not “MARVELS” fault. But it’s the fault of the producers, the studios, and the CEOs which saw the success of the initial good movies and how much crazy money they made and now they force everyone to try replicate that. MCU can’t break out of its own mold, and neither can other films
I don’t understand what is silly? This is a very real issue myself and others in the industry have to face which can be directly linked the marvel effect.
Think of it as if all of a sudden all mainline final fantasy games were completely micro transaction based because of games like Fortnite. It’s the same thing for the MCU and the movie industry.
It’s objective when you’re looking at fluidity of writing, layers and depth to writing, how a scene is shot and lit. There is absolutely a bad and good.
I think you’re misinterpreting the header. The indie filmmakers are saying they can make BETTER video game movies if it wasn’t for the disastrous effect the MCU has had on the industry. For example even Netflix makes their scripts repeat the plot because ppl don’t pay attention if it’s not flashy
Essentially, the marvelfication is that the studios & producers stifle artistic creativity to make movies, faster and cheaper at the expense of artistic labour and creativity. They don’t want directors to take artistic risks and instead made movies that pander to the lowest brow mass audience. [2/3]
For the most part yes, and pretty much every cinephile agrees. Marvel movies have gotten worse and worse, not just the scripts, but the cinematography, the lighting, the CGI. Just to be clear a movie can be entertaining, but from an objective cinematic perspective they’re slop. [1/2]
Bad surface level script, awkward dialogue, lack of nuance and depth, cliche scenarios, a focus on spectacle rather than substance. The list goes on
It means the slopification. Especially when it comes to poor writing.
