The 1960s addition is already gone, and crews are now removing approximately 200 feet of the original building to make way for the new companion bridge. The vast majority of the historic structure is staying put.

FACT: A companion bridge is being added as part of the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Project.
The existing bridge will remain in place and carry local traffic.
The new companion bridge will carry interstate traffic on I-71 and I-75.
