I enjoyed being in the Royal Borough of Greenwich today as part of the Big Community Transport Tour - seeing progress on the Cycleway 4 extension, riding the new SL11, and hearing exciting plans to improve walking, cycling and public spaces in Greenwich & Woolwich town centres.
Delighted to be in Abbey Wood today to launch the new SL11 Superloop - an improved express bus service connecting communities from North Greenwich to Abbey Wood.
The service starts this Saturday and travel is free for the first week, so hop on and give it a try! 🚍✨

NEW: Plans are underway for a tourist levy to supercharge London's economy. It could raise *millions* to fund major improvements in our city.

The 310 bus, heading to Stamford Hill, rests to pick up and set down passengers at a bus stop.
TfL is planning to retain the popular 310 bus route to the network. The service, introduced after a pledge from Mayor of London, will continue connecting key areas in North London with a direct service and helping to build a better, safer and greener London for everyone.

That’s why I’m proud to be partnering with the @londonambulance.nhs.uk and helping to fund 200 new defibrillators. This will help to ensure that every neighbourhood in our city has better access to this life-saving equipment.

In London, hate will never win.
I know many people, particularly from London's diverse communities, are feeling extremely worried following the events this weekend. It takes me back to how I felt growing up in the ’70s and ’80s, when far-right political parties marched on our streets. The leaders of the far-right are once again attempting to hijack our flag, with minorities being intimidated and fear, hatred and division being sown. As Londoners, and as proud Brits, we must unite to reject the far-right – just as we have many times before. But it’s going to take a huge effort from us all – from people of all races and backgrounds, who are willing to stand up for our British values of equality, inclusion and mutual respect. As Mayor, I'll continue to do everything I can to challenge the far-right and all those who peddle the politics of fear and division. I urge other politicians and Londoners to do the same. Pedicabs could be a fun, quick and green way to get around London, but they’re currently unregulated, which can lead to antisocial driving, loud music and steep overcharging. So, we're planning to regulate pedicabs for the first time in London, to make London safer and greener.

Mayor Karácsony has shown tremendous leadership, and the organisers huge courage.
It was an honour to march in solidarity with Hungary’s LGBTQI+ community.
I’m in Hungary with representatives from cities, parliaments and the EU to represent the Mayor of @london.gov.uk at Budapest Pride.
Viktor Orbán’s govt tried to ban the march but it will go ahead thanks to Mayor Gergely Karácsony.
