I’ve heard of PTSD as another example of clinical jargon that was turned into an acronym, replacing older more descriptive terminology (some previous terms for it being “shell shock” and “war neurosis”).

Is there something you can do to make them more fun for you? Add some whimsy or puzzles you enjoy?

Just beware - with some creative projects, if the maker doesn’t enjoy the work, that can shine through to make an unenjoyable end product.

This is so ridiculous and I love it for that

There’s something really captivating about that fence just going off into the distance.

This art was the main inspiration for my character in a one-shot game of Slugblaster that I played in last week at a game convention. The game was awesome, and my gutsy carpet skater was perfect! ❤️

I love these designs and how whimsical they are! You are giving me ideas for a witchy character I play in my local D&D game. 😊

This makes me think of Mouse Guard, which I am very fond of. Great sketch 😊

Holy cow, I need to check this out. I really enjoyed Hikaru No Go.

I much prefer things like this to reading his interviews and seeing him complain about stupid curmudgeonly stuff like red and blue dots on sinks to indicate hot and cold. (Something about allowing people to get by not needing to know English or some other claptrap)

I like his writing a lot - I was surprised when I opened my app today to see someone writing about him!

These statements, while a bit dark, are also interesting and thought provoking!

This is such a wonderful idea. You make me want to deface an old textbook with some art! It’s now on my To Do list. 😊

This is an important thing to remember. As Chad says in messages further down, this is an example of everyday antifascism.

I don’t care if you’re a relative, a fantasy novelist, or an elected official, transphobia is manufactured outrage and transphobe are trash.

None of America’s problems are cause by trans people. None.

But a LOT are caused by bigots.

Oh, that’s really cool. Admittedly I haven’t done that much clay work, but it hadn’t occurred to me to carve things a bit to help prevent glaze blurring.

I’ll repost you and use the #RenewCastlevania hashtag.

There’s no way I’m getting back on Twitter.

There's something about exploring an empty school in the early morning when no one else is there yet. It's quiet, it's mysterious, and seeing all the architecture and all the living, doing spaces just calls to me. I think long hallways are a part of it, too.

So I’m watching Severance in bed in a dark room. First 15 minutes, dramatic scene, Mark makes a big ask, suddenly the scene cuts to black. Wife and I wait with bated breath for next scene. And wait.

Power outage.

We’re in a power outage, sitting in the dark.

Even after experiencing those feelings, though, I’ve found that you can go back later and read what you wrote and end up saying about a fair portion:

“I wrote that? That’s actually pretty good!”
