The press of saying he 'saved' tiktok. Do I like it? No, but I also recognize that the tiktok ceo has his employees and the livelihoods of millions of creators and small businesses on his shoulders and it's unrealistic to think he won't say what he has to say to get the app working again.

Even if it did work, it doesn't help the numerous small business owners, animal santuaries/rescues, aid foundations etc who paid the bills there. This was just a massive abrupt lay off for a million families. Tiktok paid over a billion dollars into the economy.

To be fair, there were numerous tiktokers trying to warn people that tiktok wasn't the end of this, that it wasn't about tiktok at all really and they are already setting the stage to do this to other companies.

We all know this. Will we be happy if he somehow saves Tiktok? Sure. Will we still wish he hadn't won? Absolutely. Even a broken clock is right a couple times a day, doesn't excuse the other 22 hours of being broken and anyone who forgets that was already leaning his way anyways.
