'Drag ban bill': Ohio's HB 249 draws concern from LGBTQ+ community Drag performers and much of the LGBTQ+ community say the proposal amounts to a drag ban that targets their community.

Ohio is doing the censorship bait-and-switch.

First, they propose a law criminalizing "adult cabaret" (sexual) performances in public spaces.

Then, redefine "adult" to include a person not dressed as their "biological sex."

HB249 is a legislative weapon targeting public transness.

A related point I like to make: The act of riding a bike is inherently very safe. The danger comes from cars.

It’s a telling indicator of media desensitization that the US government’s ongoing program of murder on the high seas—which according to the perpetrators has killed fourteen (14) people this week— is no longer a subject for much serious or sustained news coverage.
