It's that time, MtG prerelease day for an in universe set!!!

Here's some art of myself and my lovely friends as members of (in order) Silverquill, Witherbloom, Quandrix, Prismari, and Lorehold.

Panel 1 - My parents found out I went to my doctor to get a specialist referral for testosterone. They weren’t happy. They got me to sit on the couch, my mum and dad facing me. “Is there something you want to tell us?” Panel 2 - My body immediately locked up, my heart racing and stomach feeling sick. My brain ran through everything I was keeping from them. Did they find out about the comics? That I’ve got a binder? About the T?

Panel 3 - Turns out the clinic had sent a message to my mum and not me that I got a referral for testosterone, because I’m still in the family health care system. The one thing they were worried about? Panel 4 - “What if it makes you infertile?”

Panel 5 - Out of everything they could be asking me, out of everything they could pick at to make me feel worse about living here, Me not being able to have babies was the worst thing for them. Because how dare I not want to go through child birth? How dare I not want to follow what their society thinks every woman should do? How dare I not want to fulfill what they think is the main purpose of women? How dare I not want to breast feed a baby? How dare I even consider if I’m mentally capable of taking care of a child?

Panel 6 - “But what if your partner wants to have kids? You would do that for them to make them happy” Panel 7 - I should have a choice too. Just because I have a woman’s body, that I have the ability to make a child, Panel 8 - Doesn’t mean I have to because it would make someone else happy. It's misogyny and patriarchy through and through. And I’m sick of dealing with it.

A heavier comic today. The fight with my parents brought up a lot of topics that I wasn’t fully prepared to correct or talk to them about, since it all got sprung up on me. But I wrote it all down after, so now I have a lot of comics talking about in my drafts that I plan to do.

Haven't really drawn in a bit but felt the urge, so I redid (or in Beth's case finished) some new arts of some old characters.

Alexis, hesitant: "What are my options?" Dr. Erian, motioning to a pair of glasses custom-made for feline facial structure: "Your first option is to wear corrective lenses, though the lenses would have to be custom-designed to accommodate your exact optical issue." Alexis: "Sounds expensive..." Dr. Erian: "Most assuredly, especially if you decide to invest in a backup pair in case of damage." Alexis: "What's my second option?" Dr. Erian, displaying a close-up diagram of an electronic eye: "Cybernetics. As a field, it is still developing, but replacing your eyes with ocular implants that can correct for your defective optic nerve is within the realm of possibility." Alexis, worried: "Sounds risky." Dr. Erian: "Indeed. There is a notable risk of complete immune rejection, in which case you would be required to take immuno-suppressants for the rest of your life, lest you be rendered completely and irrevocably blind."

Alexis, downcast: -sigh- "Is that all the options I have?" Dr. Erian, next to a picture of a brain with a point on the underside highlighted: "There is... one other option. Direct neuro-surgery, to repair your optic nerve manually." Alexis: "Okay... What are the risks on this one?" Dr. Erian: "In addition to... well... all of the typical risks associated with brain surgery, we would be required to find you a neurosurgeon both willing and able to operate on a therian patient.
