Wrath of Khan is the apotheosis of the 16-year mythos of James Kirk as a character. It’s a referendum on Kirk himself—his construction and his identity. It’s beautiful.

He’s cheated death his whole life. Not this time. Juxtaposed against the reveal of David and the birth of Genesis—it’s perfect.
