Pause Evictions Save Lives - Extend Pre-Eviction Notice from 30 to 45 days Minneapolis is facing a sharp rise in evictions right now, with filings up more than 60% compared to this time last year. At the same time, rental assistance is taking about 45 days to process, which ...

Mpls friends, urge the City Council and the Mayor to pass a new version of Pause Evictions, Save Lives ordinance. This would extend the prefiling notice period from 30 to 45 days. 45 days is the average time Hennepin County rent assistance takes to complete. actionnetwork.org/letters/paus...

This is so infuriating. Like with Uvalde, when the rubber hits the road, these cowards will not put their bodies on the line to protect citizens. In the most dangerous situations, they don't step in. So why do they need all this military equipment? They only use it against protestors.

Last night’s ICE abduction near 20th & Central didn’t happen in a vacuum. Friday morning they were found stalking people at Huset Park and earlier in April they kidnapped someone near East Phillips community center.

After 117 conventions that elected 1,200 delegates to the state convention, it’s clear Minnesota Democrats are consolidating around Peggy, who is in a strong position to win the DFL nomination:

Data collected by our campaign shows a huge enthusiasm and support gap in this race that is evident across Minnesota. Peggy Flanagan earned support from more delegates than Rep. Craig at over 90% of the 117 conventions held statewide.

Minnesota Democrats are strongly supporting Peggy Flanagan over Rep. Craig. Delegates supporting Peggy Flanagan come from small towns, suburbs, and big cities all over the state:

In Clay County (Moorhead), seven delegates elected to the state convention were committed to supporting Peggy Flanagan, while zero were committed to supporting Rep. Craig.

In Senate District 14 (Saint Cloud), nine delegates elected to the state convention were committed to supporting Peggy Flanagan, while one was committed to supporting Rep. Craig.

In Blue Earth County (Mankato), seven delegates elected to the state convention were committed to supporting Peggy Flanagan, while zero were committed to supporting Rep. Craig.

In Le Sueur County (Rural CD-02), data collected by our campaign shows five delegates elected to the state convention supported Peggy Flanagan, while zero supported Rep. Craig.

In Senate District 39 (Columbia Heights, Fridley), 14 delegates elected to the state convention were committed to supporting Peggy Flanagan, while zero were committed to supporting Rep. Craig.

In Senate District 67 (Saint Paul), eight delegates elected to the state convention were committed to supporting Peggy Flanagan, while zero were committed to supporting Rep. Craig.

At conventions where delegates were elected proportionally via walking subcaucus, delegates were committed to Peggy Flanagan over Rep. Craig at a rate of nearly 5 to 1. Nearly one-third (32%) of organizing units had zero Rep. Craig subcaucuses, while Peggy had representation in 100% of c…

'She also documented how few women were in federally sponsored clinical trials for AIDS drugs...
That was significant, she told The San Francisco Chronicle, because “the clinical trials are the only way you can get treatment.”' Long helped save so many lives.

Federal judge unloads on ‘unserious’ RFK Jr., says anti-trans policy showed his ‘cruelty’ Judge Mustafa T. Kasubhai vacated the “Kennedy Declaration,” finding it unlawfully attempted to override medical standards and restrict care for transgender youth.

Breaking: HHS’s ban on gender-affirming care is struck down. Rarely have I read a ruling this sharply worded.

“This case is one of a long list of examples of how a leader’s wanton disregard for the rule of law causes very real harm to very real people.”

The whole image of Mandela as this icon of nonviolence and moderation is such obvious rose-tinted glasses. His apparent moderation was really only because of the increasing radicalisation of the anti-apartheid movement while he was in prison, which made him a more appealing partner by comparison.

The new social media intern is day drinking at the office, apparently.

This deserves official admonishment from the DFL. This is an attack on the legitimacy of the process to determine the Party’s endorsement. From a candidate actively seeking the Party’s endorsement.

Post from Dale Partridge claiming nobody wants to live in diverse neighborhoods

Post from Dale Partridge claiming nobody wants to live in diverse neighborhoods

I quite happily live in a neighborhood where most people do not share my religion, where multiple languages are represented, and where people have come from a lot of different countries.

Bigoted assholes always assume everyone else actually shares their bigotries.
