My fave Y2K story: I was at a party w/ a bunch of other IT nerds. By 1145, everyone was ≥3 sheets to the wind. Some were out on the porch for a smoke. I moved next to the porch light switch. As we counted down, I turned porch lights off at exactly midnight. Audible gasps ensued. Laughed my ass off.
