America's Largest Rainforest Safe from Logging Thanks to Alaska Court Ruling Judge Gleason granted the defendants' motion to dismiss, and did so 'with prejudice,' meaning such a suit can never be brought again.

Today's #goodnews is Tongass, the nation’s largest national forest & the world’s largest temperate rainforest is safe from logging.

Tongass old-growth forest is home to many species like the bald eagle, Steller’s sea lion, brown bear, mountain goat & the Endangered Haida ermine (a weasel). 😊

College students install solar power in rural village that has never had electricity About 30% of rural Amazonian neighborhoods do not have electricity.

Today's #goodnews is 6 college students from Peru who started a solar energy project to bring power to remote Indigenous communities that need it most.

They installed a complete solar energy system for 40 households. Before this, the nearest city with internet or electricity was hours away. 😊
