Congratulations to Dr. Kelly Sullivan, director of the Crnic Institute’s Experimental Models Program and associate professor at @cupediatrics.bsky.social, on presenting ”The Interferonopathy of Down Syndrome,” and to Rachel Shropshire for winning Top Student Poster at this year’s DSMIG Symposium!
The 2026 Program will heavily emphasize co-occurring conditions and tissue systems affected by T21. We encourage diversity in the composition of symposia speakers with respect to geography, academic rank, and gender. Society members at all career stages are welcome to submit symposia.
The theme for the 6th International Conference of the Trisomy 21 Research Society will be, “T21: Insights from Across the Lifespan”. Each symposium will consist of four speakers in a 2-hour block and should include both basic and translational components to foster discussion among research teams.
Planning for next years T21RS International Conference in Denver is under way! Call for Symposia will open on August 15. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Delighted to share our updated work, led by postdoctoral fellow Dr. Maria Campaña, published in @natcomms.nature.com: rdcu.be/em66g, PDGFRalpha/beta heterodimer activation negatively affects downstream ERK1/2 signaling and cellular proliferation
Maybe someone needs to say this out loud, but computers can't model the physiology of a living organism because we don't know how many of the parts of an organism work, which is uhhh... why we do the research with the animal models?

@EsaSeeds
striking to me that this interview ends with him plaintively pleading for other university leaders to speak up: "I don’t think this is all about Princeton. It’s about what’s happening in the United States. I think this would be so much stronger if many more of my fellow presidents were speaking up."
Are you wearing different socks to celebrate #WorldDownSyndromeDay ?
Join in!!! It's fun!!!
Was very excited to host Senator Hickenlooper in my lab this past week, as well as be involved in a panel discussion around the important of federal funding for science!
