Nicest day of the year (so far) and I have spent it on Zoom in meetings, I just want to drink outside in the sun.

One of my reasons for not supporting a certain candidate…
The @ct-ptc.bsky.social is having it's monthly meeting starting at 6pm in New London at City Hall. Can't make it down to the shore on this beautiful evening…we are also online on Zoom.

Glad to see that SEPTA is finding low-cost ways to provide real-time arrival info to riders, if only CTtransit and CTDOT could as well.

With this letter writing, I might as well run for the US Senate. I'm probably a bit more effective than Chuck Schumer.
And my city (Hartford) has a city council that is completely at-large so I guess I'll send a mass email about how we need to figure out a better way to get neighborhood buy-in.
There is nothing like my neighorhood association president just ghosting everyone and not even holding meetings.
Now that is a fringe benefit.
6. The Governor should be making transit fare free to help reduce car dependence, especially with gas prices getting high.
5. If we invest in transit, and made it reliable, frequent and effecient, people would be willing to ditch the car and the rising gas prices would incentivize more people to do so.
4. The gas tax will probably not include diesel so goods and delivery costs will still increase
3. The gas tax helps to fund infrastructure, like roads and bridges that are need all the help they can get on top of transit investments which are already shortchanged, this needs more funding not less.
2. Aren't we supposed to be cutting greenhouse gas emissions, subsidizing gas on top of the subsidies for roads isn't going to help that.
1. The optics are performative, it's an election year, people have short term memories, the CT GOP has been hammering the Gov and CT Dems on taxes and affordability, this would be a short term band-aid on solution requiring way more
Reasons why Governor Lamont's gas tax holiday is a bad idea…(1/x)
It would be nice for him to resign, but when has Hartford's electeds chosen dignity over obtuseness?
But going from no snow to a dusting to 3-6” after getting the high end of the past forecasted system and all in a weekend has me irked.
I’m going to give the local weather folks the benefit of the doubt for the snow being more than originally forecasted this week but I need y’all to work harder to compensate for the reduction of federal meteorological services.
Trying to work backwards to figure out how pissed off to be at current electeds is exhausting but I want to level my shit for the future.
Thank God for the Dab and other shoulder focused dances. My knees and other joints are paying for all them lor dances we did growing up. When its time for the youth to have their lor functions they gonna be mad with Unc killing them with the shoulders.
Anyone have any recommendations for a therapist that is licensed in CT? Looking for someone Black preferably but open to anyone that can understand a Black Man. #blacktherapists #blackmentalhealth
I am pessimistic about 2026 so far, and the 2016 to 2026 analogies are not helping. But trying to find the glass half full in shit or whatever, I can say that my 2016 playlists are still great and maybe better when the context of a decade is added.
Between the shooting on Albany Ave and the construction on Scarborough/Whitney, traffic this evening in Hartford was a different version of hellish tonight.
If only Connecticut actually understood that TOD and increased zoning would help our already dense state. www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
I wish that the city's redevelopment plans for commercial corridors took transit more seriously…we need bus lanes, real ones, especially along our region's main bus corridors.
From your post to the Governor and General Assembly’s ears.
Yet again our neighbors to the north are expanding bus service. Soon one will be able to get across all of Massachusetts using transit.

Which leads to my ultimate wish, a stadtbahn like service for the region, a modern take on the old trolley/interurban lines.
I would love to see passenger service on the Griffin Line, it could start off as a River Line/O-Train Lines 2+4 and eventually upgraded to electric when the Hartford Line gets it done.
Would love to see the limited existing rail in Hartford upgraded to allow for at least LRT service
