I recently used the Data.Table::fread function to import Nfirs annual data files into R. These files contain over 50 million rows of the nation's fire calls with 40+ columns of variables. ::fread was faster than other standard R functions, and Excel won't handle this size. #firedata #R #datatable

Is your organization challenged to hire a data analyst? Have you checked your local state college or university. Many have intern programs that can provide no cost help with your data challenges!
