It was good. Not “once in a lifetime screening of a documentary about the world’s oldest known cave painting directed by one of the greatest filmmakers” good, but “solid dark comedy from one of the Lonely Island guys” good.

Since they couldn't get the movie to play, they sent me to a different movie called "Over Your Dead Body," which I thought was the Glen Powell movie about killing your family for inheritance money, but is actually a Jorma Tacome movie about a couple trying to kill each other for insurance money.
Now they sent a slightly louder, but more nervous, manager to say that IMAX sent the wrong encryption code which won’t activate the movie for another 4 days. So instead of a 30 minute delay, it is a 96 hour delay.
30 minutes faster the movie was supposed to start AMC just sent their most soft spoken employee to announce “the projector is having a little trouble, but hopefully it will be fixed in 20 minutes.” Audience demands for free beer were met with a nervous chuckle, “I don’t think we can do that.”
Thanks for the heads up. I saw it in theaters back in 2010, and thanks to your announcement, I am in my seat about to put on 3D glasses for one of the two directors I’m willing to put them on for.
Post the best picture you have ever taken of your pet:
It seems possible that I have at least one Colorado-based follower who loves good music. Bill Callahan tickets just went on sale for a Denver show in August. Here is my favorite song of his: youtu.be/VrCZuO2TOHw?...
And here is the ticket link: thefederaltheatre.holdmyticket.com/tickets/4617...
As someone who was recently taken in by a fake Tom Waits Tim Tok account claiming to sell tickets to a secret show in Chicago, I want to believe this, but I’ve been burned before.
As a form of protest, I will be treading water inside the Warner Bros. water tower until this Paramount merger is cancelled. #hero
While everyone else is watching The Masters, I’m watching the real masters.
View from a Home Depot parking lot. The American flag dangles over a pop-up tent and a grill where hot dogs and condiments are being sold
Hot dogs back at Home Depot. I think this is what they mean by, “nature is healing.
Not the price point you want, but that is my primary use case for an Apple Watch.
Butthole Surfers still doing as well as ever. “Jet Fighter” a fitting song for the week.

I called my reps to say they need to join @fernandez.house.gov in saying Trump must be removed from office. You can call, too.

It's not every day you get the chance to flip off Focus on the Family, and today was a pretty good day to do it.
That was the very first Onion article I ever read. First week of college I see this free newspaper in a sandwich shop. At first I just thought, “Stoner uncle? So this is what living in Boulder is like.” I think I read it twice before I was sure it was satire.
Getting a big kick out of the Italian players covering their mouths so none of the Italian-speaking Americans can read their lips.
Surprise! The new Modest Mouse song is perfect.
I tried to post my own elevator video, but Bleusky won’t cooperate. I do remember the strange experience ofbeing in that old building, turning on the TV, and watching 2001: A Space Odyssey.
A very old hotel room with a very old flowered pattern couch featuring next to a sink and a bed.
Based on the couch and window view, I think I stayed in the same room in 2019. It looks like the carpet and sink go an upgrade.
On a very competitive day, my governor makes a last ditch effort to be the person who makes me most angry.
Civil rights are a kitchen-table issue.
It seems all Kansas-issued trans drivers' licenses are invalid, effective tomorrow
It is now illegal for trans people to drive a car until they surrender their license at a DMV (that most will need to drive to) and have it reissued with the wrong gender marker
This was never about woman's sports
Were they offering some sort of Norm Charlatan discount at the toy store?
Tom Waits medley:
- Burma-Shave (classy, like slow tap dancing)
- Straight to the Top (a few quad jumps)
- Big in Japan (back flips)
- You’re Innocent When You Dream (lots of spinning)
A collage of two photos shows Prince Philip and Prince Andrew riding in the back of two separate cars, each looking like corpses and framed between bodyguards.
You can really see the Mountbatten family resemblance.
Wingdings. It really lets every letter be exactly what it wants to be.
