Finally getting to see Atreyu live after nearly 21 years of loving them was AMAZING. During one of the songs Brandon got into the crowd, moshed for a bit, and then walked right past me and my partner to get onstage so I high-fived him lol. I'm gonna have no voice tomorrow for sure.

Y'all, 2 emergency vet visits and $1600 later, it's looking like my cat Tim is just constipated, possibly from snacking on a plant during the night.

Why are cats.

Guess who isn't happy with me at all for taking him back to the emergency vet because he still isn't pottying at all and also refused to eat dinner. Still no signs of a urinary blockage on the ultrasound so an x-ray is next to check for bowel issues or literally anything else.

My car window replacement also got delayed to later this afternoon instead of this morning, so if I end up needing to take Tim back to a vet, I have to take an Uber. I really just want him to pee, darnit. He otherwise seems to feel a bit better? Cats, man.

As an update here, Tim did have slight crystals but no blockage. They couldn't really find anything specifically wrong but he definitely seemed to be in a bit of pain so they gave him pain meds and an anti-inflammatory and sent him home with more. I don't think he's peeing yet though, ugh.

After Shesha had 2 seizures and I spent the night at the EVet with her and then my car got shot at yesterday and busted out the back glass, we're gonna add to that with the fact that my cat Tim may have urinary crystals and also has to go to the EVet! Thank God my partner can drive us!

I woke up still feeling shaky and panicked about yesterday's events. Boy was that not fun. I did call the glass replacement place nearby and I was right in that an insurance claim isn't necessary because the cost is slightly less than my deductible. Thank God I have a bit of savings.

Having someone shoot out my back glass while I passed through a small intersection nearish my house was not in my plans today but it was what happened. St Louis's finest were called right after it happened an hour and a half ago but I am of course still waiting for them to show. I'm fine but shaken.

At least you don't have to worry about sitting in the emergency vet's office until 4am like I did last night. I did take a nap this evening though. It was nice.

You can't just post this and not provide proof. I have not social media'd much lately, am I really missing these things??

My kitty baby Edgar is at the vet today getting his last 2 broken off teeth pulled and they're his fang teeth (both on the top) so it's a bit more involved of a surgery since they have long roots and both teeth are just nubs. I'm gonna be a nervous wreck until he's home again.

Y'all, my new Clandestine Industries Bartskull necklace came in and I'm wearing it with my The Used shirt, is it 2005 again??? I used to own this necklace back then and wore it every day until it broke and I lost it. Wild to have it again 21 years later.

I thought the red curtain panels were wider lol oops. I'll get a couple more and fix that later, no time for that now. Working on getting movies posters hung up now!

Forgot to caption the photo, but pictured is a basement with a projector and screen set up with @criticalrole.bsky.social playing on the screen!

So I'm not done with the basement makeover, though all of the most difficult things have been assembled. I'm surprising my partner with it this weekend so tomorrow is the final day to pull it all together. All that's left is getting the speakers set up and all of the decorations up!

(to be clear, I have 2 kitties needing it currently, with a 3rd on the back burner as she has gingivitis but does not currently need anything pulled like my other 2 do)

Oh, it's Trans Day of Visibility! Hi! I am a nonbinary trans guy! I don't usually wish to be visible but I'll put up with it for a day. If you want to do anything nice for a trans person today, you can send me some funds on cashapp so I can take another one of my kitties to get dental work! $sckit

I got randomly surprised with a bonus check from my job this morning. I was not told when I got hired that we got yearly bonuses, so that's cool! It wasn't a lot, but it covers the dental bill for my cat Edgar next week so I am absolutely not complaining lol. Poor baby has 2 broken incisor teeth ๐Ÿ˜ฟ

I finally gave in and booked an orthopedic appointment next month because my knees and hips have gotten so bad.

My little shorty short girl Shesha loves to try and run out the door when I open it, so to give her the freedom to explore the outdoors safely I bought a harness and leash. This is her first time using it and she didn't seem to mind it too much! She was fascinated by the rain water collector lol.

Anyway, I took ibuprofen and Tylenol to calm the pain that was so bad I was about to cry, and it was literally just from being outside for like 5 minutes and it's freaking 57 degrees and only slightly chilly. Hate it here (in my body, not this city.)

The constant weather fluctuations are definitely a culprit, but God dang my body is falling apart. I'm pretty positive based on family history and symptoms that I have EDS and also pretty positive I'm gonna need knee replacement by the time I'm 45.

Since moving to Missouri, the furthest north I've lived (other than my first year & a half of life in Michigan) I have been dealing with increasingly bad knee and hip pain. Having to go to the basement to wash clothes hasn't helped. I officially gave in and booked an appointment with an orthopedist.

I didn't get the time to know my mom as a person outside of just being "my mom" but one thing I did know is that she was an incredible artist. Horses and unicorns were her favorite things to draw. These are from her teens and they won awards at a local fair in her hometown.

It has been very, very rough. We both lost our moms to cancer as well so this has brought up so much past heartache and trauma. But we're doing our best to hold it together for their brother and his wife and be as supportive as we can. It's honestly the only thing we can do now.

My partner's younger brother just found out a couple weeks ago, absolutely out of the blue, that he has stage 4 metastatic colon cancer which has spread to his liver. He's 43 and just found out he only has a few years left if he's lucky. The best laid plans of mice and men, as they say.
