honestly, after nearly 15 years of writing about videogames it feels surreal to pick up a camera and then be working as a professional after only 3 months of practice

truly did not see this coming

finished my first week as a professional photographer

still in training, so I'm mostly assisting, but I did get to do a full day of shooting to get a feel for it.

I'm on track to be a dedicated camera operator by next month. apparently I'll even have my own professional level camera, too.

In Pursuit of Revenge (险恶江湖逍遥剑), an underrated wuxia film from 1989, forgotten by today but a big hit during it's release in the Mainland, featuring sword choreography by the great, actual real life sword-master Yu Chenghui!
