I'm doing a SC2: Wings of Liberty replay right now and man, I forgot how good that game is. Even the gimmick missions feel nice. Don't think I've ever found that kinda feeling since, not even with the other two SC2 games.

And sure, we need to live with shitty "games" like Royal Match (where the devs use some really fucked up psychological dark patterns in their advertising, then brags about all the money they made).

BUT, at the same time, we still get to play gems like BG3, Elden Ring, BOtW, heck, even Astro Bot.

Video gaming was a culture created by nerds for nerds. Then, the suits came, threw the doors wide open, and ruined it for everyone.

Thank fuck there's still studios keeping the magic alive for us OGs who put the fun, gameplay and story ahead of making a handful of corporate asshats even richer.
