Looking across a gently undulating moorland during summer. A subdued mood.
Landscapes of the Subconscious
There is something about this image that I keep coming back to, playing with, and then walking away. Each time I leave happy. I think that if there is one image that captures what I feel when I say "Indifferent Landscapes" this may be it

Good morning all.
For the 1st time for me a Kickstarter stalled yesterday…on 87% funding.
Suddenly it’s just 11 days left to reach our goal.
It’s all or nothing so if we don’t reach our target, well you know what happens.
So today I need to start pushing again.

My wife is great at making friends and has loads of them. My hope is that they'll all turn up to support her, bumping up the otherwise paltry numbers.
A split in the road. Disappearing into the misty horizon. Gravel fire road in an area of clear fell above Geddes Village. Nairnshire. Black and white.
Forest roads above Geddes, Nairnshire. A damp day.
Very happy to back Marc Wilson’s latest campaign ‘The Edge of Ruin' on @kickstarter.com www.kickstarter.com/projects/107...
More of the salt marsh between Culbin and the firth. A wide, watery transition from the land to the sea. Nairnshire.
Lovely saltmarsh stretching from the forest to the sea. Not for the unwary. Nairnshire landscapes
Sharing the work of photographers who inspire me - today photographer & friend Frances Scott.
Frances is working on a long term project UNDERTOW, walking the coastline of her native Orkney Islands and recording experiences with photographs, words & hand-drawn maps.

The wonderful Moniack Mhor comes straight to mind. Aimed at writers and a quiet/peaceful place.
A black and white photo of new unstable forest edge created by clear felling. Foreground full of stumps left by harvester.
Black and white photo of recently felled plantation. Ground a ‘forest’ of stumps and new growth. A bit misty.
A common clearfell scene in Nairnshire making for an ever changing landscape. This time up around Urchany.
Black and white photograph of mixed woodland and ground cover. A bit misty.
Urchany, Nairnshire.
Thanks Iain!
Frosty and a lovely, flat light last Sunday down on the dunes. East Beach, Nairn.
Out and about in Nairnshire looking for small dramas. No less impactful just slower and more easily missed.
