Hole spoke to Sultana like she was some naughty school girl. Im no longer enamoured with her, but this was misogynistic power trip idiocy. She was right and his conduct shows he is a fucking bastard

the bullshit rule where you can't call out lies and liars in parliament is bullshit and I hope it is addressed during my life time.
We do not have a functioning democracy when our elected officials are protected by Parliament when they openly lie to us.
The Scottish Greens have vowed to ensure that every community in Scotland has access to a library following the 2026 Holyrood election 👇
30 people made the decision to award the Palantir contract.
@unison.org.uk represent 1.3m people and the BMA all doctors.
It's time the Labour government cleared up Tory mess and remove Palantir from NHS.
In the 70's the Government owned Energy, it built houses, it owned Public Services and it employed people.
Now billionaires own it all, and they pay you too.
So every year prices go up more than wages.
It's not complicated why things are only getting worse.
It's billionaires
A majority would bin him tomorrow if they could agree on a replacement. But they can't so this all drags on...
OMFG I had to go and check that this ACTUALLY happened.
Since when does the BBC ever do chyrons with a political party's branding, rather than their own? Not to mention this is during a pre-election campaign purdah.
(h/t @iainsol.bsky.social)
telling the truth in parliament gets you yelled at and kicked out. the truth is not allowed.
that's the lesson here.
Very good, but I wonder what is the earliest moment you could have written this article, and I think it is probably pre-election when they weren't sure if GB Energy was a nationalised producer, state investment vehicle or a matching fund and Starmer just avoided it.
Interesting. When Lee Anderson said the PM was lying, the speaker gave him the chance to withdraw his comments.
Watch Anderson being thrown out.
Wild the difference.
What this whole sorry episode lays bare is that there is a global network of politicians, billionaires, oligarchs and media moguls all exchanging information, inside trading, enriching themselves and insulating each other from attack, prosecution and any repercussions.
World wide.
Average Prime Minister steps on 3 rakes a day factoid is actually just statistical error. Average Prime Minister steps on 0 rakes per day. Rakes Keir, who lives in garden centre and steps on over 10,000 rakes each day, is an outlier and should not have been counted
@johnmcdonnellmp.bsky.social : "Isn't the reality this, that when he sought to realise his ambition to become leader of the Labour party with very little base in the party, he became dependent on McSweeney and Mandelson and Labour Together to organise, fund his election.."
i got a reply!!
a good apology, imo
have emailed back asking if it will be published in the national/on social media, and about the charity donation
got a reply back immediately saying she’s working with the team on how to resolve it all, and she’s aware there’s a lot of work to be done
Update on the transphobic advert featuring on The National's front page this week.
This is good - but it shouldn't have taken people reaching out to have this response issued privately.
It should have been a public statement before the cover was unveiled.
It says something about the BBC that in the face of significant cuts and hard priority calls they chose to launch an in-depth undercover investigation into whether refugees are faking being gay.
I think I'm far from alone thinking I'm not interested in funding people with those priorities.
Keir Starmer tells MPs: "I know many members across the house will find these facts to be incredible"
They laugh.
Keir Starmer actually put this in a briefing to Labour MPs of 'useful questions to ask' today. The PM knew of Mandelson's relationship Epstein when he appointed him.
And yet thinks he can still exploit the grief of the victims. This is why he is not fit to be Prime Minister.
The easiest job in the world to replace with genAi is C.E.O., and yet they keep getting hired and paid ever more ridiculous sums.
"Having an [unconditional basic income] was such an eye-opening and different experience for them that really moved them forward in ways that are tangible, but aren’t as popular or sexy to talk about in policy...
If someone’s telling you it’s changed their life, you need to listen to them."
Trans people are exhausted.
Non-stop fighting, writing, documenting, archiving, pleading, begging, hiding, crying and more.
Exhausted.
I have been considering similar tbh.
This is simply not true. Labour didn’t have to go right. They *chose* to go right. The big majority was a chance to reset everything back to sanity. Starmer chose the mad, bigoted, ignorant and dishonest route instead.
Ultimately none of the process chatter about the Mandelson appointment really matters, it is all just fluff around 'the PM made a bad decision that became politically untenable':
Hard agree. The fact that Phillipson *laughed* when asked in an interview about the student loan crisis but has acted to force universities to platform transphobes/fascists without debate, suggests Labour has a particular agenda, one that shows no interest in the real problems of most students.

It is clear that many cis people are not aware just how up to her neck Rowling is in funding and driving anti trans sentiment in the UK.
She's not just a person with a vile opinion.
why appeasement doesn't work:
having, it seems, got the anti-trans policies they wanted, the next thing is to force anyone pro-trans rights from public life
The Scottish Greens have pledged to introduce a repair voucher scheme which they said would put money 'back into people’s pockets'
“We know very well what we oppose; what are we for? That is a question that I think we have to be able to answer: what are we fighting for?”
