Two-Spirit and Indigenous LGBTQQIA+ Celebration and Awareness Day was on March 20—the same day A TWO-SPIRIT JOURNEY took home the Canada Reads win. Everyone at UMP is extraordinarily honoured to be part of sharing Ma-Nee's story and grateful that so many more Canadians will now be part of it too.

For three years, Jeromy Desjarlais from the Muskowekwan First Nation in Saskatchewan has produced his own documentaries under the name No Budget Films.

Next summer, he plans to create a film on MMIW that will include an all Indigenous production staff.
