First day of a month-long holiday. Have a sneaking suspicion that my to-do-in-the-holidays list is longer.

Always fashionably late, after 4.5 years, covid finally got us. To add insult to injury, it happened just two weeks before we could get the next booster. I'm pretty sure that playing nursemaid was not in our daughter's plans when she returned from her OE.

Pictured, a much friendlier bird, the tauhou or wax-eye. One of the best things on the days I work from home is being able to watch the tauhou on the shrub outside my office window.
