I travel to the US for work regularly. What I see is nice and kind people. So I pass the blame to where it belongs, the current Govt and the minority 30% that voted for it.
Just got back from a week of fun in the sun at -
Yup…kept hearing ‘go with throttle up.’
1) NORMAL.
2) Confidence will come with time.
3) knowledge conquers ‘fear’
Bottom line, keep going, it’s called Progress 👍🏻
Congrats, something you’ll never forget.
Onward and upward.
Maybe make a rule that says vehicle crossing can only occur at departure end of runways. Landing aircraft rarely roll entire length and departing would be in air, so even ‘errors’ would likely to avoid contact. 🤷🏻♂️
Caught this one in Harrisburg, PA a couple years ago.
I helped a blind man fly an airplane, using an iPhone!
I finally made a web page for the EarPilot project so I can brag about it properly here. Two flights so far.
The project is ongoing any anyone who wants to educate me on Kalman Filters is welcome to do so

I’ve seen that aircraft, nice plane but sadly that one is no more.
aviation-safety.net/wikibase/281...
That one is now at home at our local airport.
Here’s a plane, actually 2 and a nose to boop.
The Fed taxes are easy to see, it’s the State/Provincial ones that jack things higher 🙄 It is what it is though. Still…paying to file 😝
Private, Commercial, other…doesn’t matter…we ALL start and progress by passing those same milestones 😉
😳 You guys are outta control. Our Provincial taxes are incorporated with Fed, one return, free filing.
Our tax rate is 20.5% up to $117045.00. US is 24%.
(And no health insurance payments)
I’ve had that book for years, good book of a mostly unknown pilot. 👍🏻
The kicker is we produce our own oil, very little of any comes from Mid East, but we deal at world market rates 😡
Cheap. Just got half a tank - $61.50 ($1.489/litre, small truck)
Why is ‘prop wash’ not in a bucket, or used for washing props 🤔🤷🏻♂️😜
Ha. I always say work IS my hobby and I go crazy without it.
Also, it’s not ‘work’ or a ‘job’ when you’re paid for something love and would (almost) do for free… 🤫 don’t tell my boss.
When you’re use to cold temps -30 and below, being back ‘south’ makes winter more like a long spring.

That’s warm 😁
(was -18 here today, wind chill -24, but even that’s warm…I’m use to -40c)
Careful…we go to Calgary 😁
Do ya deliver? 🤔
Can narrow down, kinda, airport opened in ‘46 and the following airlines serviced it:
PCA/Capital, TWA, All American/Allegheny, and Lake Central
A lot of talk of DC3’s but I really don’t get that from the card.
It may be a Corp or private aircraft 🤷🏻♂️
Beech(18) didn’t often have 3 blades and had gear doors, and I think Cessna is smaller than what’s shown. I’m thinking more pre-war med bomber/liner type.
It may just be a general representation but because of detail in rest of postcard I’m thinking it’s not. There are clues:
No gear doors
Upper engine intake
Nose shape
Smooth engine cowl
There were always different variations/mods even of a same aircraft type. So far I’m thinking the pic on right.
Very close to that one on right. There are antennas on nose but those were as needed/haphazardly located. Did you search for airlines that flew to that airport in the general period?
Or heater intake.
Lodestar?
