Working as expected then :D

I kind like the animations still running in the background, keeps the screen alive
Seems like a little more work then what I'm willing to put in :P
People have been asking for a pause button in my game, but since everything is tied to the music, I didn't know how to handle it. Just decided to stop EVERYTHING, music and all. Hope people will know the game is paused...

There is a branch of incremental game that are more active, and that's what I'm trying to make right now. More enemies show up and are harder to defeat, but you can upgrade and make the phases easier. This intense gameplay right now is pretty much the end game, but with not upgrades yet.
I'm trying to keep the game challenging, but not necessarily hard. Throughout the game, enemies will have a lot of different attacks, but by defeating them and collecting currencies, you'll be able to upgrade and make the rest of the game easier. I just haven't added the newest upgrades yet!
Been working on adding more attack patterns in my incremental game. I know this looks a little overwhelming, but I'll be sure do add more upgrades that helps dodging them. What do you all think?

"and that's how I ended up in jail... you?", "let the dishes pile up too high..."
I'm happy to announce that we've now reached 10,000 wishlists for SCOPECREEP!
When I started this idea in a game jam, I never thought I would make it this far. And it's all because of the support of all of you!
I can't thank you enough!

I'm showing SCOPECREEP in Next Fest!
Except for keeping the scope creep in check, I think one of the biggest challenge was how I wanted the little flame to always be in the center of the screen and have all the transitions based around that! That and the attack/music synchronisation :P
SCOPECREEP reached Very Positive on Steam just in time for Next Fest! Be sure to go play the demo and also leave a little review on there if you haven't already! (thank you to all of you who already did <3)

Having stories that always end well is also a way of distracting ๐
Such a good boy โค๏ธ
I've considered it, but I felt like it reduced some of the impact. The transitions in my menus are way quicker, but I wanted the transition between the active and thinking part of the game to be more significant and break the pace, that's the whole reason this transition is longer :)
Polished it even more :)
Cool and spooky!
During playtest, multiple people mentioned that my transition screen was giving them a flashbang, so I decided to rework it a little. I present to you, the "inbetween"... What do you all think?

Completely agree! Like "Hey you liked that? WELL THERE'S MORE!"
I like the idea, but there's multiple different branch in the tree that will each have a "final" node to show there's a lot of possibilities in all direction. Would be a little weird if they all had that behavior... But... They could show a "shadow" version of the future nodes... *taking notes*
How was the response from the players?
I've been working on getting my demo ready, and I'm still wondering how to end it in a way that leave the player interested. That's what I have so far, what do you all think?
