I can only imagine why Trump sends these impulsive, grandiose letters to other heads of state, but if he thinks it demonstrates toughness or charisma, he is wrong.

Trump's way of "negotiating" trade deals doesn't work in the real world. Trade negotiations, like all negotiations between sovereign nations, require hard work and incremental progress - and mutual respect. Firing off a carelessly written letter will only backfire. #trade #tariff
