Two nights ago, Russia sent nearly 700 drones and dozens of missiles at Ukrainian civilians. In the fifth year of the war, aerial attacks on Ukrainian civilians have become even more intense and more frequent. Please join me in this campaign for air defense equipment. You can help protect lives.

Zelenskyy: "We have confirmation from my intelligence that Russia shared and shares intelligence ... Russia helps Iran"
JFK handled Bay of Pigs by owning the failure, saying, in effect, that the defeat was his responsibility. Trump’s Iran handling, by contrast, has been evasive and self-justifying, shifting claims that the mission is nearly done and that the U.S. can soon “leave” after achieving its aims.
Trump’s war: $4 a gallon gas, painful as it is, may only be the tip of the iceberg. That is clearer in the rest of the world than the U.S., for now. The U.K. is set to receive its last shipment of jet fuel for the foreseeable future this week. Prices of jet fuel worldwide are up 96%

NEWS: Bette Midler just released a remake of Woody Guthrie’s classic protest song “All You Fascists Bound to Lose,” updated to fit the current moment and urge action ahead of the midterms.
You have to listen to this.
The short version is: Trump appears to have started a war assuming Iran wouldn’t or couldn’t close Hormuz, Iran then called that bluff and closed it, and now the White House is scrambling between “winding down” the war and threatening massive escalation to reopen what its own actions helped shut.
Perplexity: By many historical and strategic standards, launching a war with Iran under Trump—and getting nothing clear in return—would count as one of the more reckless and “dumb” uses of U.S. military power in modern history, especially when factoring in economic damage and long‑lasting costs.
Economist Henrietta Treyz warned prices — driven up by President Donald Trump’s Iran war — to not fall anytime soon.
If the Strait of Hormuz fully reopened tomorrow, it would still take about 200 days for prices to return to normal, she said on MS NOW.
Yep, disgusting
Dumb ass
Trump’s tariffs and Iran policy have inflicted substantial economic damage so far, with models estimating $3,800-$22,000 per household in lifetime losses from tariffs alone, alongside oil-driven inflation from the Iran conflict adding further strain through higher energy costs and job losses.
Perplexity: If you want a single number for deaths so far that are plausibly tied to incompetence or anti-science policy, I would put it at roughly half a million, with a reasonable range of 400,000 to 700,000.
Projected future deaths from foreign-aid destruction, the total becomes far larger…
